The Young and the Restless Recap for Monday, August 14, 2023:



Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor and Nikki strategize about their latest mergers and acquisitions while Ashley and Tucker walk down the aisle.



Y&R Recap Today




Audra meets Tucker and Devon at the bar where she congratulates Tucker on his wedding and informs him that the gift they discussed is delayed but on its way. She wishes him good luck and leaves. Later, Tucker texts Ashley about his lucky stars. Victor joins Devon and Tucker and starts to criticize Tucker's upcoming wedding to Ashley, calling him a third-rate con artist, but Tucker defends himself and his love for Ashley. Victor says he's known Ashley for a while, and she won't sever ties with Jabot; she's simply doing this to wrest control away from Jack.




Audra then runs into Kyle; she thought he took the afternoon off to attend the wedding. He did, but then he remembered he didn't like the circus, and he's not a fan of the idea of his aunt marrying Tucker McCall. Kyle notices that Audra seems off and encourages her to tell him what's wrong. She is reluctant but admits that it's personal; it happened a long time ago, and she's trying to resolve it, and it hasn't been easy. There are certain things about her that she would rather he not know. It would be nice to have someone to confide in who wouldn't expect anything in return, and Kyle says he is that someone. She notes that knowledge is power, and she's not ready to give him that hold over her. He asks what does he have to do to prove his trustworthiness. "Let's go upstairs," Audra replies. Kyle and Audra finish having sex and then she tells him about her problem where she covered up something for Tucker years ago and how she could lose her job. She informs Kyle that the significant threat is Adam Newman. Kyle then gives her a possible way out. 



Y&R Recap Today



Traci helps with the setting for the wedding. Abby walks in and tells her that the place looks beautiful. With this being the start of a new life, it has to be beautiful. Ashley arrives, and Traci leaves to get dressed for the wedding. Ashley looks a little anxious. Abby tells her she doesn't have to go through with the wedding if she is not ready. Ashley says she is marrying Tucker because she loves him, and she's excited about their future, and this time they will get it right. Abby is just scared he will break her mom's heart again. Ashley says she will kill him before she ever lets that happen. "Not if I do it first," Abby replies.




At the Abbott Mansion, Jack and Diane prepare for the wedding. Diane is surprised Jack agreed to attend, but they both know it's necessary. Although Jack and Ashley made peace, he wants to keep his guard up and pretend everything is fine. Diane suggests calling things off with Billy, but Jack wants to keep Billy on their side. Jack reveals he has one more card up his sleeves just as Traci arrives to get ready for the wedding.



Y&R Recap Today


At Crimson Lights, Billy thanks Chelsea for agreeing to be his date at the wedding. She's nervous about the family drama and Billy understands if she wants to back out. He needs her help to keep him from being himself. Jack and Diane want him to be a Trojan horse for them, but now Ashley and Tucker want him to do the very same thing. Although he wants to do what's right for Jabot, he's tempted to take the offer and not care who he hurts or betrays. The instinct to beat the house is still in him.



As Ashley prepares for the wedding, Abby asks her mom if the truce with Uncle Jack is real. Ashley doesn't want anything to ruin this day. She says she and Tucker are not the same people they used to be; they've grown and changed, and this was always meant to be; it's just taken them a little longer to get here. Abby gives Ashley something old, something borrowed, and something new. 





Later, Abby meets Tucker, Devon, Billy, and Chelsea as they arrive for Tucker's wedding to Ashley. Ashley privately asks Abby where Jack is. Amidst them not arriving, Ashley instructs Abby to get the wedding started. Jack, Diane, and Traci arrive just in time. They exchange impromptu vows, and everyone celebrates as they are pronounced husband and wife and they kiss. Ashley thanks Billy and Chelsea for coming. She asks Jack to welcome Tucker into the family. Jack leaves it to Diane who wishes Ashley all the best they embrace. Later, Jack returns Ashley her company's assets and assures her that the war is over.







Nikki and Victor discuss the wedding. Nikki informs him about Nate and Audra as she tells him of Nate's merger proposal and Audra's support for it. They recognize that Adam stands to benefit the most from it. Audra arrives and Nikki claims that nothing has changed. Victor inquires as to why she is there and she tells him that Adam is blackmailing her.
