Y&R Recap Today
Sharon and Nick discuss Adam's use of blackmail to merge their new company with Newman Media. Sharon suggests finding a way to work together and Nick admits his dislike for Adam's actions, which he believes are motivated by a desire to spite his sister, Victoria. Nick also reveals that Adam's attempts to rekindle his relationship with Sally are complicating matters. Sharon speculates that Nick's negative feelings towards his brother may be hard for him to let go of.
Nick wants to change the name of the company. He says they should call it S.N.A. media. Adam meets with them, and they inform him about their decision to change the company's name. Adam laughs but admits that he likes it. Adam notes that he is tired of the battle and doesn't want to ruin what they are building since it's all he has left; he knows they thought he would come in and oppose.
Y&R Recap Today
Adam runs into Sally, who is in a good mood and eagerly wants to accept his father's job offer. She's curious about their conversation from last night and what he wanted to tell her. Adam shares he wanted her to work with him on the Newman Media and Adustus merger. At this point, though, he suspects his days at Adustus are numbered. Sally advises him to try cooperating since fighting his way to the top is not working. She tells him to do his job well, stop making trouble, and stop picking fights with Nick.
Billy and Victoria discuss their children. Billy is hesitant to send them back to boarding school because he enjoys having them close. He asks Victoria if she wants to send them away so that she can focus on work and her relationship with Nate. Victoria wonders if Billy is struggling with her happiness without him. They apologize to each other, and Billy tells her that he just wants her to be happy and thinks she deserves more. Victoria confides in Billy about Nate's behavior and wonders if she can trust Nate. Billy offers Victoria some advice.
Nate visits Victor to clear up any suspicions about his involvement in Audra's merger plan. He explains his actions, stating he was trying to protect the company and the people involved. Victor appreciates Nate's loyalty and hands him financial projections for Adustus. As COO, Nate agrees to read and provide feedback.
Y&R Recap Today
At the office, Nate tells Victoria he spoke to her dad to explain his side of things. The meeting went well, but Victoria needs to talk to him later because she lost time talking to Billy. Nate offers advice on the kids going to boarding school. He feels something shifted between them after Victoria found out he kept things from her. She says trust is important, and Nate acknowledges betraying her trust. He promises it won't happen again. "Our personal connection, the affection, the attraction, is becoming stronger and more important to me every single day," he says, admitting that he is falling in love with her. Victoria notes she can't do this right now; she's hours behind and has to get caught up. She asks Nate to cover the Bennett meeting for her.
Sally meets with Victor and tells him she'll accept his offer. "I'm sorry to hear that," Victor replies. He says there won't be a design division at Newman Enterprises because he wants to focus on straightening out Adustust and working on the constant rivalry between his two sons. Sally is disappointed and calls it a shame since she set aside her Chancellor-Winters account to accept this offer and can't really go back, thanks to the company he found to replace her. Sally ponders if Victor did this to punish her but he says no. Victor thanks her for coming by but has to devote himself to a conference call as Sally leaves.
