The Young and the Restless Recap for Tuesday, August 22, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor gives Nick and Adam an ultimatum, Audra compares notes with Kyle, and Victoria tests Nate.

Nikki greets Victor and he learns that her meeting exceeded her expectations. Victor shares how Nate apologized for his actions and Victor blames Adam. Nikki inquires about Victor's next move and he reveals enlisting Nate's help.






Nick and Adam discuss their business venture. Nick shares his success in getting McCall's foreign divisions excited about their direction. Adam reveals he's been dealing with a family matter; Connor is struggling. Nick expresses sympathy while Adam questions why they tolerate their father's manipulations against Sally.

Y&R Recap Today

Kyle visits Victoria at Newman Enterprises. She is so pleased that Audra convinced him to come on board as the new COO of Newman Media. During their meeting, Victoria asks Kyle about his work with Audra and discusses what happened with Adam, expressing hope that he will be fired soon. She thanks Kyle for his support and believes he is an ally.

Nate tells Audra that their plan could have been a disaster. She says it's over. "Things worked out," she tells him. Nate tells Audra that Adam is still a threat while she tells him that Victor did put him in place. Nate emphasizes that family always comes first and reminds Audra of how he broke Victoria's trust. However, Audra believes that Nate acted in Victoria's best interest and that his qualities are attractive. Nate tells her that the next time she needs this kind of favor, look somewhere else.

Chloe tells Esther that Bella wants to get a dog. The conversation shifts to Chloe's concern about Victor's ulterior motive in offering Sally a big opportunity. Esther provides some wisdom, and Sally enters the room. Chloe admits she was wrong and wants to join Sally in the new venture. Sally reveals that Victor retracted his offer, which Chloe thinks was personal. Sally suggests they start over as Chloe receives a call from Chelsea and steps away. Esther blames Victor for the situation, and Sally feels bad for Chloe. When Chloe returns, she shares that Chelsea offered her a liaison job at Marchetti to help her work remotely. Sally understands despite Chloe feeling bad for her.

Nick and Adam confront Victor for withdrawing the offer he made Sally. Victor defends himself, questioning their alliance to protect Sally. Adam argues and Victor threatens him, demanding the merger be completed by next week with a press party for the new company S.N.A. media.

Kyle meets Audra and informs her of Victoria's fishing for information about her. He called her out on it and Victoria revealed all the details about Adam's blackmail. Victoria believes Kyle is an ally, but doesn't completely trust Audra. 

Nate brings Victoria a rose at the office. He apologizes for creating the tension between them and wants to find a way for them to get past this. "It was a mistake for me not to immediately tell you what was going on with Adam," he says. Victoria and Nate consider a weekend trip to work through their issues. While making out, Victor interrupts by calling to inquire about a business plan. Nate agrees to meet and Victoria realizes her father wants to replace Adam with Nate. She kisses Nate to show him that she forgives him.

Adam, Nick, and Sharon cross paths. She discovers that Victor made an offer to Sally and then rejected it. Adam advises that they take action in order to get Victor off their back. Nick is taken aback that this is Adam's thought after the ultimatum Victor gave them.  They must take action to get him off their back. Sharon concurs. She believes Victor wants them to fail so he can rush in and save the day. Nick believes they should not handle situations like this. He goes for a walk, and Adam confides in her about Connor. He is concerned that his and Chelsea's problems have now become their son's. 

Victor informs Nikki that Nick's willingness to collaborate with Adam is encouraging. Nikki is aware and fears the worst, but Victor tells her to trust him. Nick tells Sally at Society that he went to confront his father. She didn't want him to do it. He also tells her that Adam and Sharon believe they need to break away from Newman.
