The Young and the Restless Recap for Thursday, August 24, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor reveals a new game plan. Victoria gives Ashley the third degree; Jack and Billy plot their next move against Tucker.

Billy asks Tucker about his marriage before inquiring about the status of the Jabot plan. Given what took place at the wedding, Tucker assumed Billy would realize that the plan is no longer necessary and that Ashley has moved on, but Billy insists that Diane's marriage to Jack does not change the situation. Well, Tucker says that's Jack's problem. Billy doesn't think his sister has changed her mind. Tucker believes that Billy is fixated on the idea of running Jabot independently and may be afraid of missing his chance. Tucker believes ending the feud with Jack is necessary to avoid harming Jabot. Billy suspects Tucker of lying meanwhile Tucker thinks Billy sees an opportunity for himself. Tucker tells Billy he will have to figure out how to dethrone Diane on his own.

Tucker runs into Adam on his way out. Adam is trying to avoid him and Tucker thinks it's because he can't handle being in public with his recent failure after being busted by Victor. Tucker says everything is coming roses for him, and Adam reminds him that he still has those emails and could release them. But Tucker doesn't think he will. Billy walks in and wonders what's going on between the gentlemen. 

After Tucker walks off, Billy and Adam discuss Chelsea and Connor settling in at Anita's following an opening at the school. When Billy expresses sympathy for Tucker, Adam assumes he's seeking dirt on him. They argue about Diane and her role in the company, with Adam claiming to possess damaging information about Tucker that he'd be willing to trade for a favor.

Nate visits Victor to discuss the business plan for SNA. He voices concerns about the incoherent plan and conflict between Adam, Nick, and Sharon. Victor assures him that the conflict has been resolved. Nate expresses doubts about Adam's fixation on Newman Media and his ability to create a harmonious company. Victor asks for Nate's opinion on Nick, to which Nate responds positively but notes that he may not be suitable for a new company.

Nate suggests that the merger creating SNA was a mistake. He proposes that Sharon’s company be stripped down and integrated into Newman Media. Victor notes that Adam thinks the same thing. Although Nate knows he may not want to give him a win, he is sure that he will eventually do this anyway. Nick arrives before Victor can explain further. Nate leaves, and Nick makes it clear to his father that he will not work with Nate.


Y&R Recap Today

Victoria runs into Ashley and tells her she heard congratulations are in order. She also heard that Ashley plans to leave Jabot and start a new company with Tucker. Victoria accuses Ashley of being ruthless and grills her about getting Jabot away from Jack. Ashley defends herself and explains that she walked away from Jabot to avoid Diane. Victoria doubts she would leave her father’s company to be ruined and brings up her failed marriage. Victoria demands to know if Billy is involved and if he’s in trouble.

Tucker sends Audra a text in his suite asking to deal with Adam, while Ashley arrives worried about her conversation with Victoria and stepping away from the company. Tucker reminds Ashley that he's her family, too, and wishes she could focus on their relationship.

Nate visits Victoria at her office, where she expresses concern about issues at Jabot. Nate jokingly asks if she will worry about him like this if they break up, but she snaps at him. They apologize and agree to have dinner. Victoria asks Nate about his meeting with her father, and Nate is unsure of the purpose. Victoria worries that her father may have plans that would take Nate away from her.

Billy meets Jack at the Abbot estate and updates him on the situation. Tucker has left the fight but thinks their sister is still involved. Billy wants to trade dirt on Tucker with Newman, but he has to wonder if Adam is playing a game. Jack suspects their sister may be moving on, and they can end the war.

Victor discusses changes to the company and the merging of SNA into Newman Media with Nick, Sharon, and Adam. He announces that the companies will be merged after all. Nick questions Victor's decision and accuses Nate of being untrustworthy.
