Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Monday, September 11, 2023: Sarah’s life is in jeopardy after delivering her baby. Justin vows to get to the bottom of Vivian’s assertions. Theresa reunites with Stephanie and Kayla.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Monday, September 11, 2023: Brady & Alex Plan A Trip
After delivering the baby, Rex notices that Sarah is shivering and Xander asks her if he can take the baby for her. Sarah passes out and Rex realizes that she’s hemorrhaging. He says that they have to get her to the hospital as soon as possible. Chloe offers to call an ambulance but he says there’s no time for that and asks her to pull his car around. Sarah comes to and tells Xander that if anything happens to her, he needs to take care of their baby and then she passes out again.
At the mansion, Vivian claims that her divorce from Victor was never finalized. Maggie and Justin argue that it’s not true but she insists that it is Justin tries to call the clerk's office but gets voicemail so he says that he’s going to go down there and get the divorce decree himself. Maggie vows to make Vivian pay once this is all cleared up. Chloe comes in and tells Maggie about Sarah having the baby and offers to drive her to the hospital.
Maggie leaves with her quickly Bonnie is left alone with Vivian as she plans how she’s going to redecorate the Kiriakis mansion. The women bicker back and forth and Vivian accuses Bonnie of taking advantage of her resemblance to Adrianne to get Justin's money. Bonnie tells her that she doesn't care about his money, she loves him. Vivian says it was the same with her and Victor.
Vivian gets emotional and Bonnie gets her a tissue. The two women start talking about their time in prison and When Maggie gets home she finds them laughing together. Bonnie composes herself and asks about Sarah and the baby and Maggie fills her in. Justin comes in and breaks the news to Maggie that Vivian is telling the truth and that she and Victor were never legally married. Justin tells her that there is no legal remedy and Vivian tells them to pack their things and get out of her house.
Theresa is thinking about her conversation with Brady when Stephanie approaches, very happy to see her cousin. They hug and chat for a few moments until Kayla comes out and greets her niece happily. Theresa tells them that she’s there for Victor‘s funeral, which surprises Kayla. Theresa says that she wanted to pay her respects, but that Brady thought that she was only there to try to get back together with him.
Kayla asks if he is right and Theresa admits that he probably is but she tells them that he doesn’t want anything to do with her so it doesn’t matter anyway. Kayla tells her that she’s not the most hated funeral crasher, that would be Vivian. She tells them what Kate told her about Vivian showing up after the funeral.
Inside the Pub, Stephanie and Theresa catch up and talk about their exploits together when they were kids. Stephanie asks her how long she’s in town and Theresa tells her that her flight was supposed to leave the next day but she’s thinking about sticking around for a little while. Stephanie's thrilled that she's staying but curious why since Brady shut her down. Theresa says that she met someone at the funeral and they were flirting. Stephanie is shocked when she finds out it was Alex.
Theresa asks if Stephanie knows him and she admits that she does. Theresa pumps her for information and Stephanie tells her that they were involved. Theresa immediately backs down and tells her cousin that she won't pursue Alex if Stephanie still has feelings for him but Stephanie tells her that she is happy with Chad.
She points out that Alex is Brady's cousin and wonders if Theresa is trying to make Brady jealous. Theresa tries to say she isn't but Stephanie doubts it. She warns Theresa that Alex is a lot but Theresa says that she is too so she's not worried about it. She asks Stephanie to give her his number.
Rex carries Sarah into the hospital and tells Kayla what happened. Kayla tells him to bring her to a room while she brings the baby to pediatrics. Xander is very worried and tries to get information out of Kayla when she comes out. Kayla tells him that she can't give him any information because he's not family. Maggie gets there and tells Kayla that she's family and that she can speak freely in front of Chloe and Xander.
Kayla updates them about what happened and tells them that Sarah is expected to make a full recovery. Rex comes out and says that Sarah wants to see Maggie and the baby. He takes Maggie in while Kayla goes to get the baby. When Kayla comes back to the lobby she gets a page from the ER. Xander offers to bring the baby to Sarah and Chloe promises to watch him.
Kayla agrees and hands the baby over to Xander. Xander brings her into Sarah's room and gives her to Sarah. He congratulates her and Rex and turns to leave but Sarah asks him to stay because she has something to say that she wants him to hear. She tells them all that she wants to name the baby Victoria Margaret after Victor and Maggie and Xander thinks Victor would have loved that. Maggie asks her if that was all she wanted to say and Sarah says that it is.
She tells her mother that she and the baby are going to be sleeping so she should get back to the reception. Later Xander brings her a candle as a gift and she thanks him. After he leaves she talks to Rex about everything and tells him that she is sure about her decision not to tell Xander the truth.
Alex and Brady are still waiting for the food and start to talk about Theresa. Alex tries to defend her and Brady tells him that there’s a lot that he doesn’t know. He asks Alex if he’s considering going out with her and Alex admits that he is as long as Brady’s OK with it. Brady told him that he's OK with it but there are things about Theresa he needs to know.
Brady admits that Theresa is a wonderful mother and says that Tate brings out the best in her but he says she has a knack for finding trouble. Alex tells him that’s something that he and Theresa have in common. Brady tries to explain to Alex that his version of trouble and Theresa's are very different. Justin interrupts them and fills them in on what happened with Vivian at the funeral reception.
After Justin leaves Alex and Brady talk about everything that's going on and wish they knew why Victor destroyed his will or took the mysterious trip. Brady says that maybe there's a way they can find out. He tries to call Victor's lawyer but the man won't give him any information other than telling him Victor was in Greece. Brady suggests that he and Alex go to Greece to try and find out why Victor was there. Theresa calls Alex to try and set up their date but he tells her that he is going to Greece with Brady.
