Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Friday, September 22, 2023: Theresa confronts Alex and shares parental concerns with Brady. Justin and Maggie make a shocking discovery. Vivian has a proposition for Philip. Marriage is on the horizon for two couples.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Friday, September 22, 2023: Maggie Finds Victor's Will
Alex is tired when he gets home from his trip but Theresa shows up and tells him that they need to talk about what happened in Greece. Theresa accuses him of avoiding her after they had sex but he tells her that he wasn't, he was just tired. She says she knows he only had sex with her because he felt sorry for her.
Alex tells Theresa that he didn't do it because he felt sorry for her and nothing Brady said about her was true. Theresa admits that she used him to make herself feel better and thanks him for the good sex, even if it was pity sex. Alex tells her that he is incredibly attracted to her and that their night together was hot.
Theresa agrees but tells him that she is trying to do better about how she deals with pain. Alex commiserates with her and tells her about his journey to make changes in himself. Alex is about to kiss her when she gets a call from Brady asking her to come to the Pub. She agrees to go right over and hangs up. Alex tells her to not let him talk to her badly and Theresa promises that she won't. Before she leaves they agree to have their dinner date soon.
Days Recap Today
Brady meets Justin at the Pub and gives him the briefcase. Justin asks if they opened it and Brady tells him that they agreed that Maggie should be the one to do it. Brady tells him about their conversation with Konstantin and about how Victor was looking for a letter. He tells Justin that they went to Victor's childhood home and looked for the letters Kayla had seen but didn't find them.
Justin is shocked to learn Theresa was in Greece with them and Brady says that she followed him there. Brady tells him about Theresa wanting to get back together and him turning her down. He tells Justin they fought and he was hard on her and Justin asks why he wouldn't be. Brady tells him that she backed off from throwing herself at him and started throwing herself at Alex. Justin is worried about Theresa getting her hooks into his son.
Brady tells Justin that he warned Alex about Theresa but he is fine if Alex wants to date her. Justin talks about how much work Alex has done on himself and worries that Theresa could ruin it. He tells Brady that getting involved with her isn't exactly healthy. They talk about Maggie being the one to open the briefcase and Brady tells Justin not to worry about Alex because he is sure that he has the Theresa situation under control.
Theresa gets to the Pub and Brady tells her that he got a call from Tate's school and he was expelled. Theresa asks what he did and Brady tells her that the headmaster didn't tell him. He tells her that he is going to pick him up in California and Theresa says she will go with him. "The hell you are!" Brady responds.
She reminds him that she has been raising Tate as a single mother for many years and Brady backs down, agreeing she is a good mother. He apologizes for being harsh in Greece and asks if he can reimburse her for her hotel room but she tells him she figured something else out. Before he can question it she tells him that they need to focus on Tate.
Days Recap Today
At Titan, Vivian tosses Maggie's nameplate and replaces it with her own. Philip arrives and asks why she wanted to meet with him. She tells him that she wants him to be her right-hand man now that she is running Titan. Philip asks Vivian why she thinks he would work for her and she tells him that she carried him in her womb and that she wants to feel that close to him again.
She tells him that he belongs at Titan but Philip says no. Vivian says that it's what Victor would have wanted but Philip fires back that Victor would have wanted Maggie to have Titan and the mansion. He asks Vivian if she will give it all back to Maggie for him and to honor Victor's memory and Vivian replies, "When hell freezes over."
Philip tells Vivian that he knows she thinks of him as her son but they are nothing to each other. He tells her that working at Titan is part of what drove him crazy and no job is worth that. Vivian tells him that she's not just offering him a job, she's offering him Chloe. Vivian says that she knows Chloe is the love of his life and if he takes the job he could have a chance to get her back.
Philip tells her that Chloe is engaged to Xander. Vivian encourages him to fight for Chloe but Philip tells her that he can't. Vivian tells him that if he gives her what she wants she will do everything she can to get Chloe back for him. Philip tells her that they are done there and blasts her for being like Victor before telling her she is on her own and leaving.
Vivian is dismayed but quickly recovers and goes to her next plan. Later Alex arrives and asks what she wants and Vivian offers him the job as her number 2.
Days Recap Today
Xander dreams about coaching Sarah while she gave birth and giving her the baby in the hospital. He wakes up with a start and Chloe asks if he's ok. Xander tells her about his dream and says that it made him realize something. He talks about how great she was when Sarah was in labor and Chloe says the same thing about him.
They share 'I love yous' before making love. Afterward, Chloe tells him that they need to start planning their wedding but Xander has a different idea. He thinks they should get married that day. Chloe is surprised and asks about him not wanting an actual wedding. Xander tells her that all he wants is her. She asks if he wants Maggie there and he admits he does but says that she has enough going on as it is with losing Victor and everything Vivian is doing.
Xander suggests that they go to New York and get married. He lays out his plans for it and asks what she thinks. Chloe agrees to go buy a dress so they can get married today. They share a passionate kiss.
Days Recap Today
Sarah is at the hospital, talking to the baby and remembering Xander coaching her through labor. Maggie comes to visit them and Sarah realizes that she is upset about something. She asks Maggie what's going on and Maggie tries to brush it off but Sarah won't let her. Sarah is shocked when Maggie tells her everything that has happened with Vivian and tells Maggie how sorry she is.
Maggie promises that she's not giving up and tells her that Brady and Alex went to Greece to try and find information that can help them. Rex shows up and tells Sarah that he thinks they should get married today. Sarah is surprised but Rex lays out his plan for her and asks Maggie to officiate or be their witness. Maggie tells them that she has agreed to keep the baby's paternity a secret but doesn't agree with the decision.
She says that Xander is Victoria's father and he has a right to know. She promises to keep the secret but she says she will not officiate their wedding because she thinks it's a sham. She tells Sarah and the baby that she loves them before leaving the room. Sarah and Rex talk about Maggie's opinion on things and Sarah assures him that she is committed to their plans.
Rex tells her she can have as much time as she needs but Sarah tells him they have no reason to wait. Rex promises to be the best father for Victoria than any other man can be and hopes he can win Sarah's heart. After Rex leaves Sarah thinks about what Maggie said and is surprised when Xander walks into the room.

Justin brings the briefcase to Maggie at Doug and Julie's house and tells her that Shane authenticated that it was Victor's. She's nervous about what she might find and Justin tells her she doesn't have to open it. Maggie tells him that Vivian is attacking their family and if whatever is inside can help she has to try. She opens the briefcase and finds the letters first. Justin says that they were looking for those and she hands them to him and picks up an envelope at the bottom of the briefcase. She opens it and she and Justin are thrilled to discover that it's Victor's last will
