Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Rafe Tricks Tripp
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Rafe and Jada track down Ava and Harris. Rex and Sarah head to the altar. Wendy is stunned by Tripp’s actions. Chloe questions Philip about his feelings.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Rafe Tricks Tripp
Chloe is shocked to see Philip when she opens the door. He asks if he can come in and she says yes. She tells him that she's surprised to see him because she thought he would be at his brother's wedding. He tells her that he was and she asks if Xander showed up at the Pub. Philip says that he did.
He says that he came over because he wanted to check on her and asks if she's ok. She tells him that she's not but she will be. She feels badly for telling Xander but feels he has the right to know the truth about the baby. She is sorry he stopped the wedding though. Philip tells her that he didn't stop it, that they got married before he got there. Chloe tells Philip that she just got off the phone with her mother and told her that her wedding to Xander was off.
Philip asks her why she can't still marry Xander and Chloe. She says things have changed and Philip argues that the baby complicates things but that she and Xander can still be happy together. Chloe tells him that it's not going to happen and tells him about her conversation with Xander. Philip feels badly for her and apologizes for the pain she is feeling. Chloe admits that deep down she knew Xander still had unresolved feelings for Sarah and says that she thinks Philip understands about that.
Philip asks how much of his conversation with Rex she overheard and Chloe admits she heard him say he was still in love with her. Philip tells her that he never wanted her to know that because he didn't want to come between her and Xander. He tells her that he doesn't deserve to be happy after everything he did to her and Brady but she disagrees. She reminds him that he was mentally ill but Philip says he doesn't think she could ever love him again.
Chloe tells him that she's not so sure about that. She admits that when he came back she felt the part of herself that loves him came back and she can't pretend it doesn't exist anymore. Philip asks if she still has feelings for him and then tells her not to answer that. Chloe tries to talk about it but he tells her that's not why he came there. She tells him that she knows he's changed and Philip tells her that he should go. Before he leaves he tells her that he's there for her and always will be.

Xander demands to know how Sarah could have kept Victoria's paternity from him and when she doesn't answer he tells her that he is going back inside to take his daughter. She stops him and tells him that he wants to talk so they should talk. She reminds him that they lied to Eric about MacKenzie but Xander says that was different.
He says that she wanted to do that so things weren't more complicated but she did this for spite. Sarah denies it and tells him that she did it so that an innocent child wouldn't grow up with a murderer for a father. Xander tells her that he hated himself over what happened to Susan but that he wasn't the one who killed her, Ava was.
They rehash everything that happened and Sarah tells him that after he got Susan killed she knew she couldn't let her child grow up around him. Xander accuses her of playing God and thinking she's perfect. They fight about why he ended up working for Ava in the first place and how he ended up teaming up with Gwen again. Xander tries to defend himself but Sarah doesn't believe him or care about his reasons for what he did.
He tells her that he did what he had to do and she says she did the same thing when she chose to make Rex the baby's father instead of him. Xander asks if she thinks Rex would be a better father than him and Sarah says that she does. Xander reminds her of everything Rex did to her and she tells him that Rex has changed, unlike him. She brings up everything else she did, aside from his involvement with Susan's death, and asks if he has any regrets about any of it.
Xander tells her that no matter what he has done she has no right to keep him from his child. He asks if she knows he would never harm his daughter but Rex comes out before she can answer him. Xander tells him to go back inside but Rex refuses. Xander says that he can't believe she chose Rex to pretend to care about and Sarah tells him that it doesn't matter what believes because she and Rex are married.
Xander says they should go enjoy their honeymoon while he gets to know his daughter but Rex stops him and says it's not going to happen. Rex tells him that he has no claim and that they will fight him if he tries to get the baby. Xander vows that he will fight them and that he will be part of his daughter's life before storming off.
Days Recap Today
Rafe and Jada are in the hallway outside of Harris and Ava's hotel room and talk about how the hotel clerk was helpful when they identified Harris and Ava. Jada comments that the clerk was impressed that they were working with Scotland Yard and the ISA and Rafe tells her that's why they got a key. They open the door quickly with guns drawn and find the room empty.
They search the room and Jada finds the fake passports in a drawer. They realize that Harris and Ava will come back for the passports and Rafe says they will be there waiting when they do. Rafe asks the clerk to call them if Harris and Ava come back and then he and Jada talk about what they might be doing in London.

Tripp gets home from work and finds Wendy looking for a new job. He apologizes again and she tells him, again, that it wasn't his fault. Wendy asks how he's holding up and he tells her that he feels guilty for spilling to Rafe. Wendy tells him that he had no choice after Rafe threatened him and asks what Rafe was going to do to him. Tripp tries to brush it off but Wendy keeps pushing until Tripp finally admits that he came clean to Rafe because he threatened to go after her.
Wendy can't believe that Rafe made him choose between her and his mother and doesn't understand why he chose her. Tripp tells her that he did it because he's in love with her. Wendy is shocked and Tripp tells her that he's been wanting to tell her for a while but he was afraid she didn't feel the same. Wendy tells him that she's in love with him too and they share a passionate kiss.
They get interrupted by a phone call from Rafe telling Tripp that Ava was arrested by Scottland Yard. Tripp asks if there's anything Rafe can do but he tells him that he can't. He tells Tripp that their running to London hurt their case and Tripp tells him that they weren't running, they were trying to find Susan. Rafe is confused and Tripp explains about Ava getting her memory back when Marlena hypnotized her and the visions she had about Susan that led them to London. He asks Rafe if that will help her and Rafe admits he lied about Ava being arrested before hanging up on him.
Tripp is furious with himself for falling into Rafe's trap while Rafe and Jada talk about what Tripp told them. Jada's not sure if it is true or if Tripp is just trying to save Ava. Rafe reminds her that people don't usually stay dead in Salem and says they should try to figure out why Susan would come to London.
