Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Friday, September 29, 2023: Alex and Sonny react to Victor’s will. Vivian learns some shocking news about Victor’s will. Plans for revenge take shape. Marlena shares her opinion of Eric’s new living arrangement.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Friday, September 29, 2023: Maggie Gets Her Sweet Revenge
Days Recap Today
Vivian is on the phone at the Kiriakis mansion making plans to redecorate when Maggie shows up to talk to her. Vivian accuses her of trespassing but Maggie tells her that she's not and shows her Victor's new will. Vivian doesn't believe it but Maggie lets her see it for herself. Vivian rips it up and Maggie laughs, telling her that it was just a copy and the original was filed with probate already. Vivian refuses to leave but Maggie calls a Deputy in to escort Vivian out. Maggie watches happily as she is dragged away.
Days Recap Today
Alex is asleep on his couch when Sonny wakes him up by pounding on the door. Sonny comes in and tells him that their Dad told him what happened and Alex says that Justin isn't his Dad anymore. Sonny tells him not to think like that but Alex thinks he has no choice. Alex feels like Justin not being his father is why he is bad and they are good but Sonny tells him that's not true.
Sonny says that he is still Alex's brother and Justin is still his dad. He tells him that the connection and love they have for each other doesn't have to change. Alex says that it does because the reality is that Victor is his father, not Justin. Sonny tells him that he is wallowing in self-pity when he should be counting his blessings. Alex tells him to leave and Sonny tells him that he has to go home even though he wishes he could stay for Justin and Alex.
Alex tells him that he needs time to think alone because everything he thought he knew was a lie. Sonny tries to convince him otherwise. He says that their past still happened and they are still brothers. Sonny asks if Alex has talked to Justin and Alex admits he hasn't. He tells Sonny that he just came home and got drunk. Sonny tells him that Justin is hurting and he should go talk to him.
Alex doesn't think that's a good idea and rages against Victor keeping this secret from him. Sonny tries to get him to come to terms with and deal with his anger. He begs him to think about Justin too and makes it clear to him that Justin loves him like a son and always will. He adds that he loves Alex like a brother and always will and nothing else matters. Alex is still struggling with learning that he was lied to all his life and feels that he has been changed in fundamental ways. He tells Sonny that he has to rethink everything.
After Sonny leaves, Vivian shows up and tries to get Alex to team up with her against Maggie but he just drags her out of his apartment and slams the door in her face. After she is gone Alex thinks back over what she said to him about having guts.
Sonny goes to the Kiriakis mansion to say goodbye to Maggie and she thanks him for coming for the service. He tells her that he loved Victor a lot. She asks about Alex and he tells her that he's struggling. She admits that she is too. She tells him about kicking Vivian out and how much she enjoyed it. After Sonny leaves, Maggie cries as she talks to a picture of Victor.
Days Recap Today
Kristen and Gwen see each other in the parlor of the DiMera mansion and conspire against Leo and Dimitri for their betrayal. Upstairs Leo pounds on Gabi and Stefan's door to warn them about Dimitri. He opens the door and sees them dead on the bed with Dimitri standing there wiping down a gun. Leo can't believe he did but Dimitri says he did it for them. All of a sudden Leo wakes up in his hotel room and realizes it was just a dream.
He tries to call Dimitri but he ignores the call and goes into to parlor where Gwen greets him with a kiss. Gwen tells him that Kristen is helping her come up with a fun surprise for him and kisses him more, saying he is the man she fell in love with immediately. Kristen is amused as she watches Gwen toy with him.
Gabi rages about Dimitri ignoring their texts to Stefan and wants to put more pressure on him. Stefan tells her that even with Dimitri and Megan's shares they will still only be tied for the majority. Downstairs, Dimitri goes to answer the door and when he's gone Kristen tells Gwen they have to kill him. Outside Dimitri finds Leo who begs him to tell him he didn't kill Gabi and Stefan. Dimitri tells him that he hasn't but says the day is still young.
Days Recap Today
Gabi and Stefan talk about the makeup of the stockholders and Gabi thinks they may be able to convince Li to side with them which would give them control. Stefan asks how she plans on doing that and she says she will seduce him. Downstairs Gwen tells Kristen she doesn't want Dimitri dead. They argue about it and Gwen suggests that she go to the bank and take all of the money Dimitri got and split it with her. Kristen tells her that she agrees to that and after Gwen leaves she gets a gun out of the safe.
Outside Leo tries to talk Dimitri out of killing Gabi and Stefan and makes him promise he will find another way. Dimitri agrees and they hug, unaware that Gwen has seen them from the doorway. She loudly announces herself and pretends she didn't see them. She plants a big kiss on Dimitri right in front of Leo before leaving to take care of her errands. After she is gone Dimitri promises Leo everything will work out and that he won't kill Gabi and Stefn before kissing him and going back inside.
Stefan makes it clear to Gabi that she will not be seducing Li. He kisses her and she laughs and tells him that she was just trying to get him worked up. They kiss passionately and make love. Dimitri goes back into the parlor and Kristen holds him at gunpoint. He tells her that he thinks she's bluffing and she cocks the gun, asking him if he's sure about that.
Leo goes back to his hotel room and is surprised when Gwen shows up with a pie for him. He is even more surprised when she smashes it into his face. Dimitri tries to talk Kristen down and moves closer to her. He takes the gun and she vows that this isn't over before storming out. Gabi and Stefan come in and Gabi asks if he has what they want. Dimitri responds by pulling the gun on them.
Leo asks why Gwen did that and she tells him that it was because he is sleeping with her husband. Stefan and Gabi try to talk Stefan out of killing them but he is determined. Stefan tries to shield Gabi and a shot rings out. They realize that neither of them was hit and turn around in time to see Dimitri fall and Vivian standing behind him with a gun in her hand!
