Spoilers for General Hospital on Tuesday, September 26, 2023: Sonny voices his regret; Carly confronts Ava; Chase makes an arrest; Gladys is frantic; and Finn encourages Anna.
General Hospital Episode Recap Tuesday, September 26, 2023: A Trap Is Set For Gladys
Finn sees Jake upset by the nurse's station and brings him to his office. Finn explains to him that surgery can take a while but says he will make some calls to find out what's happening with Drew. After Finn makes the call he updates Jake. Jake apologizes for crying but Finn assures him that it's ok and there's no shame in it.
Jake tells him that he needs Drew to be ok. They talk about how Jake found out about Drew and Finn tells him that he can always talk to him. Jake tells him that it feels like everyone leaves and Liz arrives in time to hear Finn tell Jake he is still there and not going anywhere. Liz comes in and asks if he's ok and updates him on Drew. Jake asks if they have to sit around and do nothing and Liz says not necessarily.

Sonny goes to the hospital chapel and sees Anna there. She comments on where they keep running into each other and says maybe they both need to be there. Sonny asks if she remembers asking him if he thought his life was worth the cost and she tells him that she does. He admits that he is starting to wonder.
She asks if he's having doubts and he admits he is. He brings up Curtis being in a wheelchair and Anna admits she is struggling with that too but tells him not to blame himself. Sonny reminds her that she told him she thought he was the target and he tells her about Drew being in surgery and says that it's because of him. Anna tries to make him feel better and Sonny tells her about asking Drew for help.
Sonny tells her that he put Drew under his protection and Drew was still attacked. Anna is surprised that someone defied his order. Sonny tells her that 5 years ago no one would have defied his orders. Anna tells him that things are changing for her too. They both feel like things are out of control in their lives and Anna asks what they should do. She asks if they should quit and Sonny says "Never."
Sonny and Anna talk about how they both aren't ready to quit so they'll keep fighting. Anna tells him to go see Carly. She tells him that Carly's scared for the man she loves and needs his support. Sonny agrees and leaves after Anna promises to light a candle for Drew. After he's gone Anna lights a candle and thinks about her situation with Valentin, wondering what else she doesn't know about him.
Liz and Jake come in as Anna is walking out. Finn stops to talk to her and they catch up a little. Finn reminds her that he's still there if she needs him and she thanks him. In the chapel, Jake and Liz talk about Drew, and Liz tells him that he can light a candle. She tells him that they can pray and should send their most positive thoughts to Drew.

Liz calls for an update on Drew and tells Carly that the doctor is there and is scrubbing in. She assures her that he is the best and will start the surgery right away. Carly thanks her before walking away. A few minutes later Liz goes over to Carly and explains the surgery to her. Carly wonders where Austin is as Ava walks off the elevator. Ava goes over to Nina who tells her what happened to Drew.
Carly glares at them as Nina asks Ava if she told Carly that Nina is the one who put Drew in prison. Carly comes over and Ava tells her how sorry she is. Carly asks if she's really sorry and tells her to cut the act because she knows exactly what she did. She accuses Ava of telling Austin that Drew was helping Sonny and setting him up to be attacked. Ava denies but Carly doesn't believe her.
Nina tries to get Carly to back off but she snaps at her to stay out of it. Carly says that Drew shouldn't even be in Pentonville and Ava says she isn't the one who put him there. Carly thinks that Ava is blaming her and she agrees that it was her fault he went to jail. Sonny steps off the elevator and stops their arguing. He takes Carly to the side and tells her to focus on Drew.
Sonny asks if he can get her anything but Carly says no. She blames herself for Drew going to prison and he tries to talk to her but she wants to be alone. Sonny goes over to Nina and Ava and explains Carly to them. The doctor comes out and tells Carly that Drew made it through surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. She apologizes to Ava and then asks to speak to Sonny alone. While she thanks him for being there, Ava wonders what Carly will do if she finds out Nina is behind Drew going to prison.

Charlotte tells Valentin how much she loves their house and asks who helped him decorate it because she knows it wasn't Anna. He asks how she knows that and she tells him it's not her style. She talks about her friends thinking Wyndemere was creepy and he tells her that she can invite them to their new home, even Jake.
Charlotte goes to check out her new room and Valentin remembers talking to Nina. After she comes back out she tells him how much she loves her new room and they talk about her being able to ride her horse close by. Valentin asks if she thinks Anna will like the house and Charlotte asks if Anna is moving in. Valentin says she might and reminds her that Anna needs a place to live since her house burned down.
Valentin leaves the room to take a call from Martin and Charlotte remembers receiving the tarot cards and letter at school. She reads the letter from Victor telling her that Anna was a danger and that the tarot cards are a powerful tool that can help her. When he comes back he asks Charlotte how she would feel about Anna moving in and she tells him that she needs to know if Anna makes him happy.
Valentin asks why she needs to know and she tells him that she needs it for the reading and pulls out the deck of tarot cards. Valentin remembers everything that has happened to Anna and asks Charlotte where she got the cards. She lies and tells him that a girl at camp gave them to her and taught her to use them and she starts to lay them out.

Sam finds Sasha outside the cabin and she tells her that she always liked being outside and Cody does too. Sam jokes about horses needing to be outside. Sasha is worried that their plan won't work and Cody will never be free. Sam tells her to keep the faith and promises that Dante won't let anything happen to Cody. She tells Sasha that they have a plan to prove Montague is behind it and Cody turning himself in is the first step.
Sasha doesn't understand why Cody is helping her and Sam tells her that he thinks she's worth it. Sasha can't figure out why after what she did and Sam tells her that she and Cody know it wasn't really her who did it. Sasha thinks he's a really good person and Sam agrees. She tells her that she didn't trust Cody at first but now she knows that she can.
They both agree that they also have questionable pasts and it's not fair to judge Cody on his. Sasha thanks Sam and Dante for taking a risk to help her and Sam tells her that they all just want to do the right thing. Sasha tells her that she and Dante are a good match. Sam agrees and then gets a text from Dante telling her it's time.

Dante looks at pictures from Anna's break-in and Chase asks if he thinks it's the same perp who burnt down her house. Dante thinks this feels amateur but Chase reminds him that only a sophisticated perp could have erased the security footage. Cody walks into the PCPD and announces that he is there to turn himself in. Chase demands to know where Sasha is but Cody just keeps saying he is there to turn himself in.
Dante tells Chase to arrest Cody and book him and Chase is confused but does as Dante says. After Chase gets him booked Dante brings Cody into an interrogation room and tells Chase he can handle questioning him himself. Gladys rushes into the PCPD and says she was notified that Sasha's kidnapper is in custody and she wants to know where Sasha is.
Dante watches as Chase talks to Gldys and tells her that Sasha's not there. Cody is confident that their plan will work but Dante cautions him that if they don't get proof he will be going to prison. Gladys demands to see Cody. Chase tells her that he can't and tries to calm her down. She says she is going to wait and that Cody has to pay for putting Sasha's life in danger.
Gladys gets a call and it's Sam pretending to be from Sasha's bank. She tells her that she is calling to notify her that they have received a subpoena for the records from Sasha's account from the DA and they will be turning them over today.

Gladys is frantically packing a suitcase at the apartment she shares with Sasha when there is a knock on the door. She thinks it's her cab and yells that she'll be right there. The knocking persists so she stalks over to the door and opens it. She's shocked to find Sasha glaring at her from the other side.
