Performer of the Week
It's not easy to go head-to-head with a powerhouse such as Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless, but Amelia Heinle, who plays his daughter Victora, has been doing it for over 15 years now and does it seamlessly. This week things came to a head between father and daughter when she felt pushed out of the job she felt she had more than earned because her father decided to come back to take over the family business.
Victoria is often overlooked because of the never-ending drama between her brothers, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Adam (Mark Grossman). She tries to be a steadying voice like her mother (Melody Thomas Scott), but she is the one most like her father and that can cause them to butt heads in epic fashion. This week was one of those occasions and Heinle went toe to toe with the king and blew us all way.
Victoria's barely contained rage simmering below the surface was a masterclass in not overacting. Even her explosions of anger still had a restraint behind them in deference to her father and his position in the family and company. Amelia played the scenes perfectly and delivered amazing soap for Y&R fans. This is why we are naming her our Performer of the Week! Congratulations Amelia!

Katie and Donna made it clear to Brooke that they were on Eric's side. Douglas made a heartfelt plea to Hope and then gave her and Thomas a romantic surprise. Deacon and Sheila panicked when Hope suddenly came to visit. He and Sheila decided to end their relationship. Li advised Finn to cut all ties with Sheila once and for all. Deacon met with Judge Evan Scott, who apparently is his longtime friend.

Tucker turned to Phyllis with a huge offer, one she could not refuse. Billy warned Devon about Tucker. Adam and Sally kissed after having dinner together. Honorary Mentions
The talented Naomi Matsuda once again impressed viewers with her portrayal of Li Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful. Her scenes with Finn (Tanner Novlan) were truly captivating. Li had a heart-to-heart with her son and urged him to cut Sheila out of his life for good. However, her expression of sadness that he called Sheila "mom" tugged at our heartstrings. Matsuda's exceptional acting skills make her a valuable addition to the cast of this CBS daytime drama. It is puzzling why she is not given more screen time, as she deserves a leading story that truly showcases her talent. Congratulations on the well-deserved honorary mention this week!
