The Young and the Restless Recap for Tuesday, September 12, 2023:
Today on The Young and the Restless, Jack and Diane set a wedding date, Ashley and Tucker’s honeymoon takes an interesting turn, Phyllis interferers with Summer and Daniel’s personal lives.
Y&R Recap Today
Diane finds Jack at Jabot and he shows her the invitation to their wedding reception he was considering. They kiss and agree to set a date for it. Billy sits in Chancellor Park and thinks about his fight with Jack before walking out with a determined look on his face. Diane and Jack settle on early October for their reception and Jack asks Diane to let him handle all of the arrangements so it can be a surprise for her.
Diane wants a hint and Jack tells her that it will be dazzling and a reflection of who they are. They are kissing again when Billy walks in and says he is glad to have found them both. He has something to say, Jack is on guard, but Billy surprises him by apologizing. He admits that he bought into Tucker and Ashley's feelings about Diane and let that take him over.
Jack is proud of him for admitting it and says there was a time in the past that he wouldn't have. Diane says she only wants what's best for Jack and Jabot and Billy agrees with her. He tells her that he knows she's a part of the family now. Jack is very happy and invites them both to lunch at the club on him.

Audra is surprised to see Tucker sitting alone at the GAC when she thought he was on his honeymoon in Paris. He tries to brush her off but she pushes. Tucker makes it clear that he doesn't want to talk to her but Audra sits down and tells him that she's the only real friend he has in this town. She asks what's wrong and he tells her that it's Jack. He says he didn't realize how much of a hold he had on Ashley.
Tucker admits they had an argument but when Audra questions where Ashley is, Tucker tells her that it was more than an argument. Audra keeps questioning him and he keeps telling her to stop until he finally yells at her. Audra tells him that she made a mistake thinking they were still friends and he apologizes for exploding but says he has a lot going on right now. He isn't happy to see Jack, Billy, and Diane walk into the club.
They walk over and question Tucker about why he's there and Ashley isn't with him. Tucker tells Jack to ask Ashley himself before leaving. Billy and Jack question Audra, but she tells them it's not her place to say and leaves. Jack calls Ashley and leaves a message asking her to call him. Billy wonders if Ashley had the same realization about the family that he did and Jack says that would be a blessing.
Jack, Diane, and Billy have lunch and talk about what might be going on. Jack wonders if it's a ploy on Ashley and Tucker's part, but Billy says that Tucker seemed really upset. Diane has to leave but Jack asks Billy to stay so they can talk. After she's gone, Jack questions if Billy was really sincere in what he said to them and admits that he hates doubting his family like this. Billy assures him that he meant every word. Jack thanks him for helping Diane and Billy apologizes again. Jack says he is only looking forward now.

Heather sees Daniel at Crimson Lights and she tells him that she knows how hard he's worked to get to a good place in his life. They talk about Phyllis pushing her to stay in the States. Heather tells him that it's ok, but Daniel doesn't think it is. Heather tells him that Phyllis didn't ask her any questions she hasn't asked herself and admits that she is questioning if she wants to stay in Lisbon.
They discuss her life there and her relationship with Christopher and Heather tells him that they broke up. He asks how Lily took it and she tells him that Lily liked Christopher but took it ok. Heather thinks she is harboring hope that she and Daniel will get back together so they can all be a family.
Daniel says that he thinks they are all in a good place and Heather tells him that he should talk to Lily so she knows that but warns him to do it carefully. She also tells him that she is thinking about not going back to Portugal and may be moving back to Genoa City. She wants a change and thinks it would be good for him to be close to his daughter again.
Daniel tells her that she needs to do what is right for her too and she tells him she is. She tells him that they will talk more later but she has to go because she is meeting Phyllis. Daniel is surprised and warns her that Phyllis may be trying to put them back together. Heather questions why she would do that.
Summer walks into Crimson Lights and Heather leaves to meet with Phyllis. Summer tells Daniel that Phyllis is determined to fix her marriage with Kyle and Daniel thinks it's the least she can do since she is why it ended. Summer tells him that her marriage is over and warns him that Phyllis is trying to hook him and Heather up. He tells Summer that he had just told Heather that and says that this is typical Phyllis, she wrecks everything and then rushes in to try and fix it.
Daniel asks Summer if she wants to fix things with Kyle and she tells him that she doesn't. She asks him if he wants to get back together with Heather. Daniel says that he and Lily are happy and Summer tells him that he worked hard and repaired things with Lily. She asks if he wants to do that with Heather too and he says that all he wants is to be friends with her and co-parent Lucy.
Summer tells him that they have a problem then because Phyllis is going to ruin things for both of them. Daniel says that they have to find a way to stop her.

Diane runs into Abby at Chancellor Park and Abby thanks her for saving her mother's life. Diane tells her that she only did what anyone would. They talk about Jack and Ashley's relationship and Abby tells her that she thinks the fact that Ashley and Tucker went to Paris on a honeymoon is a good sign that everything will be ok. Diane tells her that Tucker is back alone and she doesn't know what happened but he didn't look very happy. Abby thanks her and then calls Ashley and leaves a message, asking her what's going on.

In his room, Tucker pours a drink and thinks back to his wedding night with Ashley and then the conversation they had in Paris where she talked to him about her past with Jack.

Phyllis says hi to Tucker when he comes into Society and then Heather walks in. Tucker asks if she is staying in town and she tells him she is considering her options. He tells her that he is going to need a good attorney.
