Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor informs Victoria about her new role at Newman, Nikki threatens Adam, and Sharon notices a connection between Chance and Summer.

Nate and Audra meet up at the jazz lounge bar. Audra vents about her boss and Nate sympathizes. They both know they have a lot of work to do to win her over. Nate is in a good mood, and Audra assumes it's because he's going to be offered the second-in-command position at Newman. He confirms it's a logical move, but Audra questions if it will be that easy. Nate is confident that he's made progress with Nikki and her trust in him. Audra suggests he come up with a backup plan since Victoria will always side with her parents. Nate is unsure why she's being so negative.

Adam and Esther have a heated argument at Crimson Lights regarding his actions towards Chloe. Esther believes that people can change but also scolds Adam for wasting all of his second chances, which has led to people doubting his ability to change.
Nikki interrupts their conversation and requests to speak with Adam privately. Nikki mentions that she has heard about his apology and claims of change, but she believes it is yet another hollow attempt to deceive Victor. Adam asks for a chance to prove himself, but Nikki is unwilling to give him any more chances. She gives him an ultimatum - if he doesn't abandon his scheming within 24 hours, he will regret it for the rest of his miserable life. She storms out of the coffee shop, leaving Adam and Esther behind. As Adam is leaving, he runs into Esther once again, and she comments on the harsh talk that Nikki had with him. Despite this, Adam is more determined than ever to follow his new path. He receives a text message and quickly leaves.
Tucker returns from his honeymoon without Ashley, and Abby is concerned about her unresponsiveness. Abby visits Tucker at his GCAC suite to inquire about Ashley's whereabouts, but Tucker's behavior is suspicious. He seems to be hiding something catastrophic that may have happened to Ashley. Tucker becomes agitated and dismissive when Abby presses him for answers, which only motivates her to uncover the truth. However, Tucker becomes hostile and warns Abby and the Abbotts to stay away from him. Despite his threats, Abby is determined to find out what happened to her mother. Tucker insists that he did nothing wrong, but Abby remains skeptical of his intentions. Tucker admits that he thought Ashley could separate herself from the Abbott family, but he was wrong and is now alone and heartbroken. He warns Abby and her family to stay away from him because he does not handle heartbreak well.
Victoria is shocked and hurt that she will be demoted to CO-CEO and feels betrayed by her father. She storms out. When Nikki arrives, she is concerned about what has just happened. Her shock is palpable when he tells her about his decision to take over. She wishes he had informed her before and is worried about the stress's impact on his health. Adam arrives and offers to clarify a misunderstanding Nikki had. He understands that Nikki has doubts about him, but he is determined to prove that he can comply with his father's wishes. Despite Adam's efforts, Nikki remains unconvinced.
Sharon and Chance are enjoying a conversation in the park about the company. Sharon suggests that Chance takes a break and goes on a trip with her. Chance agrees to look into it. Suddenly, Summer notices them and greets them warmly. Summer mentions her successful trip to Milan and thanks Chance for being a good friend to her. She shares her experience of riding a rollercoaster and how it helped her. While the women talk about Kirsten, Chance receives a text about a possible job promotion and has to leave. He apologizes to Sharon and promises to take a raincheck on her invitation. Summer is delighted with the turn of events. Chance escorts Sharon to Crimson Lights to pick up her bag, while Summer reminisces about her meetings with Chance and sighs.
Tucker interrupts Nate and Audra's conversation and comments on their friendship, which he finds creepy. Audra defends their friendship, but Tucker says that trust is hard to come by. Nate asks Tucker why he seems ready to blow things up after seeming on top of the world the last time they spoke. Audra suggests Tucker meditate to calm down and trust that the universe has other plans for him. Nate receives a text from Victoria and quickly leaves. Tucker warns Audra that she's in over her head with Nate and senses something went wrong with Ashley. Audra tells him that if he's planning something, especially if it's related to Jabot, it's a bad idea. She cares about him and doesn't want to see him get hurt. Tucker thanks her and returns to his suite. Audra arrives and Tucker kisses her forehead, and they share a kiss.
Nate joins Victoria at the bar, and she tells him about being demoted. He wonders what she will do now but she has no idea. She’s too angry to decide anything. They get to a suite where they have sex and she tells Nate that she will fight her father. She is determined to find a way to show that he is in no position to lead the company.

Mariah thanks Devon for allowing her to stay at the Chancellor estate. However, she is concerned that taking Aria away from their home was a mistake and that her daughter's life has been disrupted too much. Devon reassures her that Aria loves her and is aware of that. Mariah feels overwhelmed and scared, but wherever they are will become home for Aria. Abby arrives and Aria cries. Mariah rushes off to attend to her. Devon inquires about Abby's situation, and she reveals that their parents had a disagreement, but she is unsure of the details. However, Abby is convinced that Tucker is to blame.
