The Young and the Restless Recap for Thursday, September 14, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Jack calls a family meeting, Lily confronts Daniel about Heather, and Tucker makes a deal with Audra.

Abby reaches out to Jack to inquire if he has heard from Ashley. Regrettably, he hasn't received any updates apart from what Diane informed her earlier when they crossed paths in the park. Abby discloses that she confronted Tucker, but he didn't divulge much information. This worries Abby because her mother and Tucker recently tied the knot and are now living on different continents. Abby reveals that Tucker alleges that Ashley caused him harm. Diane speculates if Ashley regrets marrying Tucker. All of this makes Jack ponder if Tucker is furious and plotting revenge against them.

Traci and Billy are surprised when they arrive at the mansion and hear that Tucker and Ashley have already split up. Jack thinks it's important for them to be on alert, even though the details of the situation are scarce. They speculate about what Tucker might be plotting. Billy comes up with an idea that he thinks could solve everything. Tucker already thinks they are at odds, so they need to exploit that. Jack understands the logic behind it but worries that it might not be the best approach. Abby points out that Tucker tends to burn everyone he plays with, but  Billy assures them that he can handle it. Jack suggests that Billy be very careful. 

Y&R Recap Today

Tucker and Audra are in bed after sex. Tucker calls her a poor thing, citing her rendezvous with Kyle, and it's a good thing that she came to him. Tucker thinks she wants to know more about what happened with him and Ashley. She's questioning whether he intends to seek revenge by targeting Jabot. Tucker suspects she's conducting reconnaissance and inquires if there are issues at Newman. He admits to having plans and wonders if she would be willing to collaborate with him once more. She wishes she could trust him more and he reassures her. 

He later reveals that he and Ashley had irreconcilable differences and he is determined to pursue his original plan upon returning to town - to go after Jabot. She then confides in him about having to keep her relationship with Kyle a secret. Audra discloses that she requires something if she were to work with him. She informs him about the turmoil at Newman and how Nikki is now her boss, leading to her demotion and an uncertain future. Audra needs a backup plan in case everything falls apart.

Y&R Recap Today

Daniel and Lucy are at the park and he asks Lucy if she's prepared to return to school, but Lucy is not interested in discussing it as she is still enjoying her summer. Daniel apologizes and thanks Lucy for coming to Genoa City to spend the rest of her summer. He then informs Lucy that her mother is considering not going back to Portugal. Lucy confirms that she is aware of this, and although she wanted things to work out in Portugal, she wouldn't mind moving back to the United States. She assumes that this means Daniel is content with his relationship with Lily, which he confirms. He also mentions that this time around, their relationship feels different and special. Lucy wonders if he and her mother would have a chance to reconcile if he wasn't with Lily. Daniel is just happy that Heather is at least civil to him. Lucy suggests the possibility of a reunion between Daniel and her mother, to which he reluctantly admits that there could be a chance if Lily wasn't around.

Phyllis expresses her gratitude to Heather for taking the time to meet with her. She wants to officially thank her for stepping in at the last minute and handling her case. However, Heather suspects that Phyllis has another motive - to meddle in Daniel's love life and reunite them. Phyllis denies this, stating that she has learned her lesson and won't be responsible for breaking up Lily and Daniel. When asked about the seriousness of their relationship, Phyllis admits to having mixed feelings. Heather points out that her own relationship with Daniel didn't end well, but he has since been working on himself and is in a better place. When asked if she would want to be back in his life if he was open to it, Heather appreciates the concern but tells Phyllis that she needs to accept whatever her son chooses. Phyllis doesn't want them to make a choice out of fear and is willing to help.

Heather arrives and meets Daniel and Lucy in the park. She suddenly announces that she must return to the Lisbon office immediately. She also mentions the possibility of relocating back to the United States and needs to discuss it with her colleagues. While Lucy is away, Daniel inquires if his mother did something wrong. Heather reassures him that his mother loves him and didn't do anything wrong. Daniel then embraces his daughter. 

Lily shows up at Daniel’s suite after he sends her a text. After sex, she wonders if he’s okay. He wants to be completely honest and tells her he feels like his mother is interfering and attempting to get him back with Heather. Although his mother tends to interfere, he thinks his ex may still have feelings for him. Considering all he's put her through, it's hard for him to believe that she feels awkward around him. He reassures Lily that it doesn't matter because they are together now.
