The Young and the Restless Recap for Monday, September 25, 2023:
Today on The Young and the Restless, Adam pleads his case to Sally, Phyllis crosses the line, and Jack is suspicious of Billy’s motives.

Tucker deposits the million dollars into Phyllis' account and she confirms it but demands another hundred thousand to make half of what he promised her upfront. Tucker makes the second deposit and she confirms. He asks what happened to honor among...and Phyllis finishes the quote, "Thieves. It's thieves." She asks if Tucker is planning on stealing from Billy and he promises that he's not going to.
Phyllis gets to work with Tucker looking over her shoulder. He continues to hover, commenting on her skill level and she tells him that she is trying to make sure it can't be tracked to the building they both live in. She tells him that she thinks she should go somewhere outside to do it but he tells her that he can't let her out of his sight. Tucker expresses his concerns about her leaving a digital trail that could lead to him but Phyllis tells him that she would never do that because she is too good.

She reminds him that she needs the money he is paying her to pay off her insurance debt and he drops the bomb that she's not just going to be hacking into Billy's account. Phyllis tells him that all she agreed to do was hack into Billy's account but Tucker tells her that he wants more than that. She argues that he can't just change the deal and he reminds her that she already took his money and she needs the other half.
He tells her that she has no choice but to go along with what he wants unless she wants to refund his money. Phyllis wants to know what he wants her to do and Tucker tells her that she needs to hack into Jabot's corporate checking account and make a sizeable transfer into Billy's account. She realizes that Tucker plans to make it look like Billy is stealing from his family's company and Tucker agrees that is exactly what he plans to do...for a start.
Phyllis freaks out about doing what Tucker wants and tells him that the only reason she agrees is because she has to repay the insurance company the money that Stark got when they faked her death. Tucker doesn't care about her misgivings or discomfort. She argues that she is trying to be a better person but he doesn't care about that either. Phyllis wants to know why he is targetting Billy when it was Jack and Ashley that hurt him and he tells her that Billy is a means to an end. Phyllis tells Tucker that she won't do it.

Tucker tells her that she knew she was helping him target Billy all along and doesn't care about her objections. He reminds her that Billy stole from Jabot before and was forgiven. He asks how easily she gets forgiven for things and gets her to sit back down at the computer. She complains about him hovering and then tells him that she hit a firewall and she doesn't think she can get around it. Tucker wants to know if she's just trying to stall.
Tucker rages at how long this is taking her and reminds her that she calls it her superpower. She asks if he wants to try for himself and he tells her that if she doesn't get it done he will expect a refund. Phyllis shoos him away and tells him to let her do it. After a moment she tells him that it's done and gives him her chair. He checks out Billy's account and says he is doing well for himself but he did expect to see more money in his account.
Tucker wonders if it is from the gambling Billy used to do and says that works in their favor. Phyllis says that it's all him and he reminds her that she is benefiting from it too. He gets up from the chair and motions her back into it, telling her it's time to hack into Jabot's account next.

Billy gets to the Abbott house and wants to know if Jack wants to talk about what happened with Devon. Jack brings up Billy being tempted by Tucker and Ashley's offer and Billy reminds him that he already admitted that. Jack thinks Billy feels cheated out of his chance to run Jabot by himself because Ashley decided to stick by her family. Billy wants to skip the analysis and get to the point and Jack tells him that this is not working.
Billy asks if this is the excuse he is going to use to fire him and they argue about Billy talking to Devon about Tucker after Jack told him to leave Devon out of it. Billy warns Jack that Tucker is coming after Jabot and Jack acknowledges that he is right. Billy tells him that he should be careful of throwing his one ally overboard when that alley has the information they need to stop Tucker.
Jack is shocked because Billy hadn't mentioned this before but Billy reminds him that he was about to fire him because of their trust issues. Jack tells him that he owes it to the family and their father's memory to reveal what he knows. Billy responds by telling Jack that he wants to protect Jabot but also thinks he should use the information to protect himself and keep his job as well.
Jack tells him that he's not fired and Billy asks if that's because Jack wants the information he has on Tucker. Jack tells him that he wants them to get out of the cycle they are in and be partners. They argue about what that actually means and Billy tells Jack that he doesn't treat him as a partner and he always feels the other shoe is about to drop. Jack tells him that he wants him to get out of his own way.
Jack compliments and praises Billy's work at Jabot and tells him that he really does want to work as partners. Billy tells him that Adam is the one who has the information on Tucker. Jack asks how he knows it's legit and Billy tells him about seeing Adam and Tucker fight about it a few weeks ago. He tells Jack that Adam offered to give him the information for a price. Billy thinks that, given his history with Adam, Jack should be the one to negotiate with him so the deal doesn't fall apart.
Jack acknowledges that he has a better relationship with Adam and Billy says that he doesn't understand it. Jack tells him that he has become a sort of father figure to Victor and Billy says that Adam uses that to get to his father. Jack insists that it's more than that and Billy tells him that he has a big heart but it can be annoying at times like these. Jack tells his brother that he does want them to be partners and to protect their company together and tells Billy he wants to trust him. He says he will reach out to Adam and the brothers shake hands while looking at each other seriously.

Adam sees Sally at a table in the GAC dining room and approaches her. He tells her that he saw her working and wasn't sure if he should interrupt and she tells him that she's working on her business plan but can take a break for a moment. Adam asks how it's going and she tells him that she thinks she is doing well. He offers to take a look at it for her when she's done and she agrees to keep his offer in mind.
Adam brings up the kiss and Sally says that she thought they were going to act like it didn't happen. Adam feels that wouldn't be fake and she would see through it and admits that he liked kissing her and that it reminded him of how good they were together. He tells her that he thought it might have reminded her as well.
Sally tells Adam that if he wants to tell the truth about how he feels that's okay but when he tries to tell her how she feels he is crossing the line. He agrees to say less on the topic of her feelings but tells her that he thought he had sensed something. Sally reminds him that he is trying to fix things with his family and that she is starting a new company. She tells him that neither of them has time for this mess and he comments that she's not saying that she doesn't want it.
Sally tells him that he is assuming how she feels again and that he needs to stop. Adam talks about the loss of their child and all that went along with that. Sally admits that she still feels the loss every day as well. He tells her that it's more than just their daughter for him, he feels the loss of Sally as well. Sally asks what he wants and if he even knows himself and Adam tells her that he does. He wants her to come to him and tell him that she's still in love with him.
Sally doesn't know what he wants her to do with that and he tells her that she doesn't have to do anything, he is just telling her the answer to the question she asked. He talks about their trip to Tuscany and their relationship and Sally admits that they had good times but insists that things have changed. She tells him that his truth is too much for her and Adam tells her that he never meant to pressure her. He tells her that he is just happy that they can talk again before getting up from the table and walking away.

Sally returns to her room and finds a large bouquet of roses with a card. She opens it hesitantly and it reads, "Hate that I'm still so far from you. Almost home. Love, Nick". Sally tells him to hurry and thinks about Adam kissing her.

Adam is having a drink in the Jazz room and thinking about kissing Sally. His phone rings and he checks the caller ID before answering and saying hello to Jack. Jack knows he was expecting his call and Adam tells him that he knew Billy would tell him about the information he has. Jack asks if they can meet and Adam agrees.
