Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor teaches Victoria a painful lesson, Adam keeps up appearances with Sharon, and Nikki makes a new enemy.

Nikki and Victor have a serious conversation. Nikki wanted to talk, and now she has Victor's attention. She explains that she has been thinking about becoming the CEO of Newman Media. Victor expresses his confidence in her. Initially, the idea was overwhelming, but she knows the challenges and is ready to face them. Nikki admits that shem Nick and Victor are now enemies of Adam. She is not afraid of him, and she tells Victor that she has already spoken to Audra Charles. Nikki informs Victor that Audra and Kyle are in a romantic relationship, and Summer knows about it. Victor believes that their granddaughter is better off without Kyle since he is an Abbott. Nikki tells Victor that she spoke to Audra and asked her to end things with Kyle if she wants to continue working at Newman Media. Victor is pleased with Nikki's actions and thinks Audra is a valuable asset, but not if she upsets their granddaughter.

When Sharon unexpectedly visits Adam, he is surprised since he thought she wanted nothing to do with him anymore. He assumes she knows that Victor has cut loose and expects her to tell him that he deserves it. However, Sharon expresses concern for Adam and acknowledges the blow he has been dealt. Adam is puzzled by her kindness, but Sharon explains that she wants to help him, especially since he may need someone to check up on him after what happened with his father. 

Adam acknowledges that he has no one to blame but himself and considers working at Newman Enterprises, even if it means sorting mail. He talks about his recent losses and asks for Sharon's help. While she supports his desire to change, she refuses to get in the middle of any drama as she has her own priorities with Kirsten International. After Adam persistently asks for her assistance, Sharon agrees to talk to Nick, as long as it is a genuine request for help.

Y&R Recap Today

Nick greets Victoria upon her return to Genoa City and asks about her trip to LA. She mentions that the negotiations faced a problem, but she managed to resolve it in due time. Nate informed her that their father made a significant company restructuring without consulting her, and she's quite upset about it. Victoria plans to confront their father soon, but she wants to hear Nick's perspective first. Nick assumes that she's unhappy about their father's decision to bring him back to work between her and Nate. However, Victoria clarifies that she didn't oppose Nick's return; she only suggested a leave of absence since he was going through a difficult time. While Nick and Victoria look forward to working together, Nick remains cautious about Nate's trustworthiness.

At the bar, Kyle asks Audra about her meeting with Nikki. Audra shares that Nikki hadn't yet made a decision about taking over Newman Media, making Kyle a bit concerned about his job security. However, Audra assures him that she values him as an ally and an asset and promises to do all she can to keep him around. Audra also reveals Nikki's demand that they end their romantic relationship to avoid any conflicts of interest. Kyle is taken aback and argues that Nikki has no right to meddle in their personal lives. Despite this, Audra defends Nikki's actions, explaining that she is simply trying to protect her granddaughter. In the end, Kyle offers to step aside, but Audra wants to keep things going. They both agree to keep their relationship a secret and continue their affair.

Y&R Recap Today

Victoria visits the ranch and is warmly greeted by her parents. She is aware of the significant changes that occurred while she was away in Los Angeles and questions Victor about whether he purposely made these decisions without informing her. Nikki asks Victoria to remain calm and give them a chance to welcome her home. Nikki leaves and Victor attempts to clarify his actions, insisting that they were not personal. However, Victoria is unhappy that he made extensive leadership decisions without consulting her. Although she appreciates Victor finally kicking Adam to the curb, she believes she should have been consulted. Victor reminds Victoria that he owns the company and has the right to make decisions as he sees fit. While Victoria agrees that it is good that Nick will return, she is unsure whether he will accept the offer.

Nick and Sally meet at Crimson Lights where he shares news about a meeting with his father that involved some significant changes. Sally is surprised and saddened to hear that Adam was ousted. Nick explains that his brother brought it upon himself and there will be consequences. They also discuss Sally's new venture, with Nick understanding that she doesn't want his help. They both acknowledge the importance of boundaries. Nick shares that he often feels overwhelmed by the power dynamic within his family and Sally encourages him to trust his instincts rather than follow his father's commands.

Audra calls Nikki to tell her that she dumped Kyle and requests to discuss his professional future. Nikki is downstairs and invites Audra to talk there. Before they can meet, Kyle shows up and Audra takes the opportunity to sleep with him. Afterwards, she leaves to meet Nikki.

At the meeting, Audra informs Nikki that she has handled the Kyle situation. Nikki is pleased and Audra advocates for keeping Kyle at Newman Media, citing his excellent work. Nikki agrees to consider it but wants to speak with Kyle first. In addition, Nikki reveals that she decided to accept the offer to take over Newman Media and hopes to have a productive working relationship with Audra, as long as there are no deceitful actions in the future. Audra notes she is eager to learn from Nikki as they work together.
