The Young and the Restless Recap for Tuesday, September 26, 2023:



Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor gives Victoria a stern warning, Devon and Lily seek answers from Jill, Mamie surprises the Abbotts, and Nikki makes a tough decision.

Jack has a meeting with Adam, who congratulates him on his recent marriage to Diane. Jack is grateful for the kind wishes, as he and his wife hadn't received many congratulations. Adam expresses his best wishes for them, and Jack reciprocates, saying he wants the best for Adam too. Adam reveals that things have been difficult since he was fired from Newman Media. Jack sympathizes with him, imagining it must have been a huge blow. Jack then shifts the conversation to Tucker and asks Adam about any dirt he has on him. Jack is willing to pay for the information and urges Adam to name his price without playing any games. Adam admires Jack's directness but struggles to come up with what he wants in return. Jack suggests that he give him the information with no strings attached, but Adam wonders how that would benefit him. Jack explains that he would get the joy of watching Tucker fail when he uses the information against him. Adam finds that interesting. Jack asks about the change in Adam, and he reveals that he is tired of letting anger and resentment control his life. Jack is impressed and supportive of Adam. Suddenly, Jack receives a text from Traci, summoning him home urgently. Adam promises to give Jack the information, but only if he agrees to help him out in the future if he needs it. They shake hands, and Jack leaves, with Adam, promising to send the information to his inbox soon.




During a video call, Devon and Lily update Jill on the latest news regarding the mystery investor. However, they don't have much information to share with her. Jill then expresses her concern about the situation, feeling that something isn't right. Devon assures her that they have been monitoring the situation closely and didn't notice any leaks. The motive behind Victor's secrecy leaves them puzzled. Jill then believes she needs to speak to Victor directly to get some answers as the situation requires immediate attention.



Y&R Recap Today



Victoria and Nikki meet up at Crimson Light for coffee. Victoria assumes her mother wants to check on her mood before they meet with Victor. However, Nikki just wants to enjoy a nice start to the day. Victoria assures her mother that she won't have any problems going forward, even though she doesn't want Victor to return as CEO of Newman. Nikki asks if Victoria has heard from Nick, who was supposed to return from the East Coast trips this morning. Victoria has tried calling him, but he hasn't returned her calls. Nikki senses that Victoria wants to persuade Nick to be her ally at Newman Enterprises. However, Victoria believes that Nick has made up his mind and there is no way to change it.





Nikki is worried about her husband's health, and her daughter shares the same concern, fearing that the current situation might be too stressful for him. Nikki believes that they should trust Victor to know his own limits. Although Nikki doesn't think that Victor is behaving irrationally, she does believe that he needs to be cautious. When her daughter suggests going against Victor, Nikki warns her that it will not end well for her or the company. Victoria insists that she only wants what's best for her father and the business.

Victor is finishing a call at Newman Enterprises, announcing his return when Nate walks in. Nate wants to make sure Victor is settling in, and Victor trusts that everyone is ready to move forward. Nate assumes Victor is busy and offers to leave him to it, but Victor wants to ask him a few questions about Adam. Nate reminds Victor of his skepticism of Adam and asks why he would think Adam could play by the rules this time. Victor asks Nate to support and encourage Adam. Nate is unsure if it's even possible, but Victor is convinced Nate will find a way. Nate realizes that Victor wants him to keep an eye on Adam to see if he is really sincere.




When Nikki and Victoria arrive, Victor is preparing to go to a meeting at Society. Victoria offers to accompany him, but he requests that she stay and "hold down the fort." Victor plans to discuss the recent changes in the company with Victoria when he returns, including Adma's demotion to the bottom rung. Victoria appreciates being kept informed. Before leaving, Victor reminds her that no one's position in the company is secure. Nikki leaves for her office, and Victoria asks Nate about his conversation with Victor. He reveals that Victoria's father wants him to become Adam's new confidante, pretending to offer support while secretly keeping an eye on him. Victoria is shocked that her father is giving Adam yet another chance, wondering when enough would be enough. In the end, she sees the logic behind her father's plan.

Sally remembers Adam kissing her when Nick comes knocking on her door. As soon as she opens it, Nick rushes inside and they end up in bed together. Sally is happy to see Nick again and wants to hear about his trip, but he is more interested in discussing her next-tier design company and how impressed he is with her business plan. Sally is thrilled that everything is falling into place and expresses her gratitude. 






Nick asks Sally if Adam had bothered her while he was away. Sally admits that they had seen each other. Adam talked about starting over and sounded sincere and wanted to hit the reset button. Nick is skeptical and says he will believe it when he sees it. He also tells Sally that he is moving on from Newman, despite still loving his family. Sally asks Nick if he regrets leaving Newman or if he is trying to prove a point to his father. Nick says he made the right decision, even though it was tough. He then reveals that Victor is returning as CEO, which would be a big blow for Victoria. Nick has been getting a lot of calls from his sister and Sally urges him not to ignore her. Nick agrees and calls Victoria back. She asks to meet with him because it is important.







At Society, Jill video calls Victor to confront him. He refuses to reveal the investor's identity to her but promises she will find out soon enough, who they are. Jack arrives home and wonders what happened. Traci tells him, she didn't want to spoil surprise. As he asks what surprise, Mamie says, "Hello Jackie."
