Y&R Recap October 4, 2023: Mamie Delivers Stunning News

The Young and the Restless Recap for Wednesday, October 4, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Sally catches Adam in a lie, Nick seeks Sharon’s advice, and Mamie shares surprising news with her family.

Y&R Recap Today

Adam follows Sally into the GAC and tells her that he needs to know what happened in the park with Nick. Sally tells him to give Nick space so he can cool off and Adam asks what Nick needs to cool off from. He asks if she told Nick about the kiss and that's what set him off. Sally asks him to leave it alone unless he is trying to stir up trouble. Adam tells her that he is trying to fix things with his family and Sally tells him that she doesn't believe him. 

Adam is hurt by her not believing him but Sally rips into him for everything he has done. She tells him that he says he wants to fix things but instead, he keeps blowing things up. Adam is confused because he thought he and Sally were in a better place and she asks "Better than what?". She tells him that they had gotten to a better place after her anger and pain from losing their daughter but says he ruined it by kissing her. 

Adam reminds her that he apologized but she doesn't think he is really sorry. He tells her it was an impulsive action and she says that is caused her life to be teetering again after it was finally settling down. Adam asks if she is talking about Nick's reaction to the kiss or her own. Sally tells him that there is no them and that he should stay away from Nick and stay away from her as well. 

Sally tells him that she told Nick about the kiss and he's very upset with Adam. Adam thinks there's more to it than that. He tells her that Nick would only be that upset if it triggered something in her. Sally tells him to stay out of her life and out of her head before storming up to her room. 

Y&R Recap Today

Sharon and Nick have coffee at Crimson Lights and talk about Kirsten business. She asks if he is okay and he tries to tell her it's nothing but then admits that it's not. He tells her not to worry about it but she says him saying that makes her worry more. He tells her that they met to discuss their business trips and he doesn't want to get bogged down in personal stuff. Sharon reminds him that they are friends too and asks him to tell her what is going on. 

Nick finally breaks down and tells her about what happened between Adam and Sally. He tells her that he is sick of Adam doing things like this and Sharon asks if he is going to confront Adam. Nick tells her that he's not going to which is why he wants to focus on work right now. Sharon understands why Nick is upset but reminds him that love can't just be turned off.

Nick tells her that Adam doesn't love, he covets but Sharon says Adam is capable of love. She tells him that the only way the kiss matters is if it affected Sally and asks Nick if it did. Nick tells her that the kiss affected Sally more than she is willing to admit and maybe even more than she realizes. She asks why he thinks that and Nick tells her that he doesn't want to dwell on this and would rather focus on work. He thanks Sharon for her help and says that it's one of the things that first attracted him to her.

In her room, Sally remembers her conversation with Nick in the park and calls him. Sharon tells him to answer it and he does. He tells her that he is working with Sharon. She says that she can hear in her voice that he's not ok and neither is she. He asks if Adam bothered her again and she asks if they can talk. He tells her that he's working and she is surprised he can even concentrate. He tells her that Sharon is always able to ground him and she sarcastically tells him to remind her to thank Sharon. 

Sally apologizes for how things went in the park and Nick tells her that she is right and they need to talk. He tells her that he is on his way and hangs up. 

Y&R Recap Today

Nick gets to the GAC and sees Adam at the bar. He remembers his conversation in the park with Sally and approaches his brother. He tells Adam to leave Sally alone and warns him that his patience has a limit. Adam apologizes and admits he crossed the line. Nick goes upstairs to Sally's room and she lets him in. He tells her that he saw Adam and tells her that he didn't lay a hand on him or raise his voice. Sally asks what he did and Nick tells her that he told Adam to leave her alone because he has run out of patience.

Sally thinks that Adam didn't take it well but Nick tells her about his apology. He tells her that he doesn't believe it and thinks Adam is trying to get him to let his guard down. Sally tells him that it doesn't matter because all she cares about is if she and Nick are okay. He tells her that it depends on her and what's in her heart. He tells her that he wants the truth and Sally tells him that she is falling in love with him and hugs him. 

Y&R Recap Today

Adam goes to Crimson Lights and Sharon tells him that they are closed. He tells her that he saw the lights on and wanted to say hi. He asks if there is anything he can help her with and she says there is. She asks why he feels the need to ruin things and he realizes that she talked to Nick. He tells her that Nick is fooling himself about Sally's feelings and that Sally is still in love with him.

Y&R Recap Today

Abby sees Devon come downstairs in a nice suit and asks what he's all dressed up for. He tells her that Mamie has asked them and the rest of the family to meet her at the Jazz Room and asks her to come with him. Abby asks why she wants to meet with them and Devon says he hopes she tells them that she is the secret investor in Chancellor-Winters and why she kept it a secret for so long. Abby happily agrees to go with him and goes upstairs to change, telling Devon that she has the perfect outfit to wear. 

Y&R Recap Today

Daniel goes to Lily's and she greets him with a kiss and tells him she has a favor to ask him. thanks him for coming. He asks what she wants and she asks him to come to the Jazz Room with her because Mamie asked them all to meet her. She tells him that he is a part of the company too and she wants Mamie to see how happy he makes her. Daniel wishes he could but he has a meeting with his creative team that he can't miss. Lily understands. Daniel promises they will get together with Mamie in the near future to show her how happy Lily is with him. Lily agrees and hugs him. 

Y&R Recap Today

Nate goes into the office at Newman and asks Victoria to go with him to meet with Mamie and the family at the Jazz Room. Victoria asks if he is trying to go to war with his family again. Victoria reminds him that his cousins hate her and she worries that her presence will be a problem. Nate tells her that they wouldn't make a scene but Victoria says they could just leave. Nate tells her that they are together and he's not going to hide that. He says that he is involved with her family and he wants her to be a part of his as well. 

Y&R Recap Today

Jack approaches Mamie at the Jazz Room and tells her how happy he is to see her so happy and on top of the world. She greets him happily and he asks if she is going to fill him in on what's going on. Mamie tells him that she has two families and while she is bonded to the Abbotts she also has to build a deeper bond with her other family. She says she has taken certain steps to do that and Jack says she is driving him crazy with her mystery speak. 

Mamie agrees to tell Jack so he doesn't pout like he did as a child. She admits that she bought out a private investor and now has a major stake in Chancellor-Winters. Jack is happy for her and compliments her on making the most of her investments. She credits his father with teaching her. She tells him that her plan was to take care of them until they could take care of themselves and then become an entrepreneur herself.

Mamie tells Jack that Victor was the secret investor that she bought out and he is thrilled for her and her entire family. He warns her about the roadblock she is going to come up against and Mamie tells him that she is ready and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. She admits that no one can prepare for Jill though.  Mamie is looking forward to Jill finding out how successful she is. She tells him that she shouldn't be upset with her investment since she just replaced another investor but Jack tells her that logic doesn't apply when it comes to Jill. 

He asks her to share what else she has up her sleeve but she notices Lily walk in and apologizes to him. Jack tells her that he has to get home and help Diane get ready for their wedding party. Mamie is happy for him but admits she had reservations about Diane being back. Jack assures her that Diane has changed and Mamie believes him. As Jack leaves Nate and Victoria show up and Mamie greets them both happily. 

Lily watches unhappily from the bar as she remembers her conversation with Nate about his relationship with Victoria. Devon and Abby arrive and he and Lily share a look from across the room. Mamie thanks them all for coming and tells her how much it means to her to be back. She tells them that she missed them and has been keeping tabs on them so she knows about the animosity between them. She tells them that it breaks her heart and that is why she asked them to meet with her.

Mamie tells them that she is back to whip them into shape and to make their family the strong powerhouse it was before and will be again. She tells them that she is the one who purchased Victor's shares in Chancellor-Winters and says she hopes they are as excited as she is. Mamie tells Nate she wants him to come back to Chancellor-Winters and Lily is not happy. 

Mamie says she knows what happened but wants them to leave it in the past and invite Nate to rejoin them in the family company. Lily asks what her intentions at the company are and Jill comes in and says she is curious about that herself.
