The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Monday, October 23, 2023: 



Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Katie learns of Eric’s heartbreaking diagnosis. RJ’s dilemma of not betraying Eric or telling Ridge the truth intensifies.


B&B Recap Today






Katie stops by Eric's house to go over the final invite list for the event. Eric is coughing a lot and apologizes for it. Sensing that something is amiss, Katie questions Donna about Eric's health and asks her what exactly is going on with him. Donna denies that anything is going on. Katie wonders how Eric could say that the event is his grand finale when he has so much more to offer. Donna denies that anything is wrong with Eric's heatlh. Donna says that this is the last one, leaving Katie wondering what she meant. Later, Eric returns and reminds Donna of their upcoming appointment. Katie leaves the invite list and heads out. Eric apologizes to Donna knowing that she wants to tell Katie but cannot. He admits he just coughed up blood but says he will live till he dies and until then, he will be holding her in his arms.







Ridge and Brooke share a kiss in the office. Ridge admits that his fight with his father is getting to him. Liam then stops by the office, where he sees Ridge and Brooke. He asks if Ridge or Brooke had heard from Steffy, saying that he wants her and Kelly to be safe. Liam also brings up the fashion showdown, and RJ arrives shortly after. Liam leaves, begging Ridge to tell him if he hears from Steffy. RJ informs Ridge that he received the talking points from Katie but wonders if his father is changing the rules a bit. RJ speculates that Ridge is worried that Eric would win by name alone, which is why he didn't want names to be attached to the designs.

Ridge assures RJ that he could tell him anything and asks if something is wrong. Brooke pleads with Ridge to stop putting their son on the spot, but RJ says it is okay and that he understands. RJ admits that he didn't think he would end up designing, but he still wants to design with his father in the future. He states that his grandfather needs him, and he needs his grandfather right now. RJ says that his grandfather is a force of nature and that working with him is like magic when he is in the zone. He has never experienced anything like that before, and it is incredible, and he is proud to be a part of it. Ridge notes that when RJ came back, he didn't want to do design at all, and now he is designing. He wants to know if he is missing something and if Eric is okay. Ridge says that something doesn't add up and begs RJ to be completely honest with him.



B&B Recap Today



Dr. Colby comes in with news about Eric's condition. He advises that they must be realistic about dealing with this issue. Donna, however, goes into denial mode, but the doctor insisted that Eric's condition is worsening and he needs to conserve his strength. The doctor also warns that participating in the fashion show could be fatal for Eric. Despite the doctor's warning, Eric refuses to back out of the competition. Donna cannot believe this and laments the fact that she had lost him once and is about to lose him again, which she considers the biggest mistake of her life. Eric begs her to stop and not go there. He begs her to feel his heartbeat and listen to it beat; this is what they have right now no matter what the doctor says. Eric says they will all die someday but he won't curve in a ball and wait for it. This is his grand finale and it doesn't matter that some doctor says that he is going to die.







Katie walks in and asks Donna if it is true that Eric is dying. Donna confirms that it is true and that the doctor had just given them the news. Katie then holds Donna in her arms, expressing her sympathy and support. Donna is emotional and Katie cannot believe that she had been going through this all by herself. Katie reassures her that Eric is a strong person and that she will not lose him. Katie then asks if Ridge knew about the situation, but Donna says no. Katie urges Donna to tell him, but Donna refuses.
