Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Tuesday, October 10, 2023: An Awkward Run-In at the Bistro

Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Tuesday, October 10, 2023: Prepping for his date with Paulina, Abe encounters Nicole. Chanel and Johnny make plans for the night when Paulina comes home to prepare for her date. Theresa tries to talk a reluctant Alex into going out with her. Stephanie remains secretly disappointed. Tate runs into Holly in the park.

Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Tuesday, October 10, 2023: An Awkward Run-In at the Bistro

Tate is on the phone with a friend in the park when Holly walks by and drops something. He ends his call and picks it up, stopping her to give it back. She thanks him profusely and says that if she had lost what she dropped it would have been bad. Tate tells her about the sprinklers going off at school when he pulled the fire alarm and that his parents want him to get a job to pay for the damages. 

Holly tells him that it's a good thing she dropped her bag then. Tates asks why and she pulls a joint out of the bag and tells him that he needs to light up and forget his troubles. Tucker agrees to get high with her but they realize a cop is standing nearby. They agree to hang out another time and exchange numbers. They are flirting and Tate moves in to kiss her but Holly jumps back and asks what he's doing.  

Tate apologizes for misreading the signals and Holly tells him that it's ok. She tells him that she would like to be friends but she's in love with someone else. Tate is surprised to find out she has a boyfriend but she tells him that they aren't together yet. He asks if she has known the guy long and she says she's known him "pretty much forever."

Paulina and Kate are talking about Paulina's relationship with Abe at the Pub. Kate encourages her to not give up hope and Paulina leaves to get ready for their date. Marlena comes in and she and Kate discuss Abe and Paulina. Marlena thinks Abe could fall in love with Paulina all over again even if he never gets his memory back. Kate tells her about her talk with Chad and hopes that he and Stephanie stay happy together.

Abe is in the Square reading when Nicole comes over to him and introduces herself. Abe tells her that he knows her name and knows she has a daughter named Holly, She sits down and is excited that he has his memory back but he has to tell her that he doesn't. Abe tells her about the flashcards that Kayla made for him with everyone's pictures on them and how she told him about who everyone is. 

Nicole asks what else he knows about her and he asks if they were friends. She tells him that he was like a father to her and she's missed him. She tells him about their connection through Brandon and Faye and tells him how much he means to her. He tells her that he wishes he could be that guy for her again and Nicole tells him that he is. She tells him that she hopes he will be a part of her baby's life too. 

They chat about Holly and then she asks if she is keeping him. He tells her that he has a date with Paulina and he's nervous about it. He's worried that Paulina will not be able to dampen her expectations about them but Nicole thinks she will be patient. She advises him to live in the moment and not to get caught up in expectations. She tells him that there are worse things than having a wonderful woman in love with him. Abe tells her that he might not remember her but he is realizing why they were so close. 

She asks him if she can hug him and he agrees. They hug before he leaves for his date with Paulina. After he is gone she calls Brandon and tells him about her conversation with Abe. When she hangs up she runs into Tate and they chat. He tells her that he just met a nice girl in the park but that he feels really stupid. Nicole asks why and Tate tells her that he thought she was into him but she shot him down because she is into someone else.

Days Recap Today

Johnny shows up at Chanel's to pick her up for their date and they realize that neither of them actually planned anything. Johnny suggests they ask Paulina where they should go and Chanel tells him that she's not home. Johnny grins and tells her that he thinks he knows what they should do. Just as they start kissing Paulina comes home and interrupts. 

She tells them she's happy to see them back together but they have to go somewhere else because she has a date. She tells them that she is making dinner and they are just having a quiet night in but she's nervous. She asks if she should change but Chanel tells her that she looks perfect and she should relax because they have already been dating for a while. Paulina worries that if the night is too much for Abe it could push him away for good.

Johnny and Chanel are leaving and Chanel stops to remind Paulina that Abe's heart is the same, even if his memory is gone. Johnny tells her that she and Abe will find their way back together just like he and Chanel did. Paulina thanks them and hug them before they leave.

Abe arrives for their date and brings a bottle of wine. They both admit that they were looking forward to their date and he grabs wineglasses and the decanter for them. Paulina is surprised and asks how he knew where they were. Abe tells her that it was just a guess but she says she is taking it as a sign of more good things to come.

Stephanie assures Chad that she was just placating her mother and wasn't dropping hints about wanting to get married. He's relieved and tells her that he likes where they are now and there's no rush to get married. He leaves to pick up the kids and Stephanie looks upset after he's gone. Stephanie calls Kayla and tells her about her conversation with Chad. She admits she was lying about not wanting to get married but didn't want to sound desperate. 

She hangs up quickly when she hears Chad coming back and asks him where the kids are. He tells her that they begged for one more night at Doug and Julie's and suggests they go to the Bistro for dinner. She agrees and he asks if they are ok after their conversation about marriage. She tells him that they are on the same page and they go to dinner.

Theresa wants Alex to go to dinner with her but he tells her that he has a lot of work he has to do. She wonders if he is blowing her off because it was just pity sex in Greece and he assures her that isn't the case. She asks if he thinks that she's after his money. He asks why he would think that and she says because of her reputation. She tells him that she wanted to remind him that she didn't know who he was when they slept together and flashes back to snooping in the briefcase.

Alex tells her that with his charm it never even crossed his mind that all she wanted was his money. She tells him that there's no reason for them not to have dinner yet and he reminds her that he has work to do. Theresa doesn't give up and he finally gives in and makes them dinner reservations at the Bistro. He asks her if she is using him to make Brady jealous and she assures him that she's not. She tells him about Tate getting kicked out of school and how she hopes Salem will be good for him.

Chad and Stephanie run into Theresa at the Bistro and offer to let her join them for dinner. She tells them she has a date just as Alex walks in. Theresa asks Stephanie to go to the lady's room with her so she can tell her about Tate and once they are gone, Chad tells Alex that Stephanie told him what was going on with him and Victor. Chad tells him that he went through something similar when he found out Stefano was his father and offers to be there if he needs him. Alex thanks him and Chad asks about him and Theresa. Alex tells him that they are all dealing with their lives being turned upside down. 

They each take their tables and Stephanie tells Chad that Theresa wants Alex and no one should get in her way when she's motivated. At the other table Alex thanks Theresa for getting him to go out with her for some fun. They toast and give each other charged looks over their glasses.

Johnny and Chanel go to the DiMera mansion and plan a movie night. She is thrilled when he tells her that they are watching Clueless and not some foreign film. She tells him that she will make popcorn but hesitates before leaving. He asks if there is anything wrong and she asks if things will go ok for Paulina. Johnny tells her that it will go great.

Holly comes in and asks Johnny what he's doing. He tells her that he's going to watch a movie and they chat for a few minutes. They sit down and start to talk when Chanel comes back in with the popcorn. Johnny tells her that Holly is joining them and Holly is surprised when Chanel tells her that they are back together
