Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Wednesday, October 11, 2023: Marlena Frees Harris and Ava!
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Wednesday, October 11, 2023: EJ tells Ava that Susan is going to give a statement to the police, but Susan has other plans. Marlena calls Harris out on his feelings for Ava. Nicole makes a realization. Someone crashes Johnny and Chanel’s movie date. Brady informs Tate that he has secured him a job.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Wednesday, October 11, 2023: Marlena Frees Harris and Ava!
Ava is handcuffed to a chair in the Salem PD lobby when EJ and Susan come in. Ava asks Susan how she is doing and the Susan tells her that the doctor said she is fine. Ava is happy to hear that and EJ says that Susan can now press charges against Ava for attempted murder. Marlena goes into the interrogation room and tells Harris she wants to thank him personally for rescuing Susan. She tells him that if she can vouch for him she would be happy to. Harris thanks her but tells her that he is more concerned about Ava going to prison.
Ava asks Susan if she's really going to press charges against her and, much to EJ's displeasure, Susan tells Rafe that she has no intention of pressing charges. EJ tries to change her mind but Susan refuses to be swayed. Ava thanks her and Susan gives her a lollipop before leaving. Ava asks Rafe if he is going to uncuff her but he tells her that she's not completely out of trouble yet since she is still court-ordered to Bayview.
Marlena tries to talk to Harris about his feelings for Ava and he admits they got close in Bayview and on the run but he tells her that he doesn't want to talk about it. She tells him that she wouldn't ask if she wasn't his therapist but that it's important to his recovery. He admits that he cares about Ava but they get interrupted when Ava comes into the room with Rafe.
Ava and Harris share a charged look and then Harris asks Rafe what's going on. Rafe tells him that Susan's not pressing charges against Ava and that the DA isn't going to prosecute either of them for the rest but they have to complete their stays at Bayview. Ava asks Marlena to talk to her doctors and Marlena agrees before leaving the room. Harris asks Rafe if he was able to get anything off of the tape to use against EJ but Rafe tells him there was nothing he could use.
Marlena comes back in and tells Ava that her doctors have agreed to release her. Ava hugs Harris excitedly and he hugs her back. Rafe tells Ava he never wants to see her in trouble again and she promises she is going to walk the straight and narrow. Rafe takes her to his office so she can call Tate and after they are gone Marlena tells Harris that Bayview is willing to readmit him.
Harris tells Marlena that he doesn't think he needs to be in Bayview anymore but he wants to continue to see her on an outpatient basis. She agrees and tells him that she will make the call. She asks him if his decision to leave Bayview has anything to do with the fact that Ava is no longer there and he tells her that it doesn't but she doesn't seem to believe him.
Once he is alone Harris calls Kate and asks her about renting Eric's empty room above the Pub. Kate is thrilled that he wants to take it and tells him that it's his. Ava comes back in and he tells her that he's not going back to Bayview but he is staying at the Pub in Salem. She seems happy about it and tells him that she looks forward to seeing him around town.

Tate tells Nicole that the girl he met in the park is hot and she is shocked when he also tells her that the girl he met is named Holly. She asks if her last name is Jonas but he tells her that he doesn't know. Nicole pulls out her phone and shows him a picture, asking if this is the girl. He confirms that it is and asks why she has her picture. Nicole informs him that the girl in the park is her daughter.
Tate tries to apologize for calling her daughter hot but Nicole tells him that it's ok. He asks her to put in a good word for him but then tells her not to since Holly told him that she's in love with another guy. Nicole is surprised and asks if he knows who it is but he tells her that she didn't say. Tate gets a text from his Dad and has to go and after he is gone EJ comes over and tells her that he has great news. Before he can tell Nicole what it is, Susan comes over to them and assumes that Nicole is pregnant with Rafe's baby.
EJ tells her that the baby is his and they bring her p to speed on them being back together and engaged Susan says that she's not getting a familial connection to the baby and asks if they are sure the baby is EJ's. EJ tells her that they had a paternity test done and they are sure. Susan asks if Nicole is whoring around on her son and Nicole explains to her about the tainted biscuits. EJ tells Susan to be happy for them and herself for being a grandmother again. Susan agrees and gives Nicole her last lollipop.

Tate gets home and Brady asks where he's been. Tate tells him he was getting reacquainted with the neighborhood. He tells Brady about meeting Holly in the park. Brady hopes that they can be friends and Tate agrees. Brady tells Tate that he got him the job at the Pub and Tate freaks out because he thought Brady was joking about that. Brady tells him that he has to pay back his school for the damages and Tate argues that he will have to work forever to make that much money.
Brady says that means he will also be too busy to get in trouble if he's working so he is fine with it. Marlena gets home and greets Tate happily. When she and Brady leave to set up Tate's room, Tate texts Holly and asks if she wants to hang out tomorrow.
Days Recap Today
Holly is shocked to find out that Chanel and Johnny are dating again after they got divorced. She isn't happy about it but tries to cover. She has to turn away when they start to kiss in front of her. Chanel asks Johnny if he's ready to watch the movie and he tells Holly to stay and watch it with them. Holly sits down in the middle of the couch so they have to sit on either side of her.
In the middle of the movie, Johnny shuts it off so they can talk about it and Holly talks about how much she loved it but says she thought it was going to be in black and white since it's 30 years old. Johnny and Chanel laugh and Johnny starts to talk about the history of movies being in color. Chanel teases him about being a movie buff and reminds him that they're supposed to be just having fun. Holly interrupts and tells him how much he loves it and then raves about a couple in the movie.
Chanel thinks the couple is weird since they were step-siblings but Holly and Johnny disagree with her. Johnny starts to cough after eating some popcorn and Holly goes to get them all drinks. Johnny and Chanel kiss and he asks her to move into the mansion with him. She tells him that it's too soon and he understands but suggests they go up to his room after the movie.
They are kissing when Holly comes back with the drinks. Johnny takes his and then Holly pretends to trip, dropping the other drinks all over Chanel. She apologizes for making Chanel have to go all the way home to change but Johnny tells Chanel to go up to his room and borrow one of his t-shirts and a pair of his sweatpants. Once she is gone, Holly is about to tell Johnny how she feels about him when Susan comes in with EJ and Nicole.
Johnny greets his grandmother happily while Holly seethes on the sidelines. Nicole takes her aside and tells her about her conversation with Tate. She asks Holly who she is in love with and Holly drags her out to the hallway. Holly tells her that she doesn't want to talk about it in front of everyone and lies to her mother. She tells Nicole that she only said that to Tate to get him to back off because he tried to kiss her.
Nicole tells Holly it was kind of her to let Tate down easy and asks Holly if she would tell her that she was in love. Holly tells her that she would and then gets the text from Tate. Nicole goes back into the parlor and Holly texts Tate back that he is a big mouth and dead to her. Chanel comes downstairs in Johnny's clothes and asks Holly if she's ok. She tells Chanel that she's fine and Chanel asks what is going on in the parlor. Holly says she is never going to believe it.
In the parlor, Johnny and Susan catch up and Susan tells EJ to leave Ava alone. Johnny agrees and EJ says that he is outnumbered so he will go along with them. At the Salem PD Rafe looks at a file about EJ and says that Ava may be off the hook but he isn't.
