Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Tuesday, October 24, 2023: Leo and Dimitri evade police. Harris’ new job surprises Kate. Ava faces some new muscle.




Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Tuesday, October 24, 2023: Bad Dreams On the Run





Dimitri is giving Leo a massage in their hotel and then they are playfully flirting in bed. Their good time is interrupted by Rafe and Jada busting in, guns drawn. They demand that they get out of bed and that is when Leo wakes up, shaken by his nightmare. Dimitri comforts him and promises that they are safe but they agree that they have to get out of town as soon as they can.





They discuss possible escape plans and Leo pushes back when Dimitri proposes getting Megan's help. Dimitri finally makes him see that they have no other choice and they agree to pool their resources to get out of town and look for her. When that doesn't yield much money, Leo remembers his petty cash stash from The Spectator in his room at the Salem Inn. He cuts eye holes out of sheets so they can go in costume and Leo tells Dimitri that a Halloween costume event is being held in the Square so they won't stand out in their costumes. 



Days Recap Today



Rafe thanks Kayla for coming to the Salem PD to give her statement about Dimitri and Leo's escape from the hospital. She asks if there are any leads or updates and Rafe tells her that there aren't but that they are working on it. Kayla is embarrassed that she let them get the jump on her after everything she has been through but Rafe assures her that it could have happened to anyone.



Days Recap Today



Tripp wakes up with a stiff neck so Wendy gives him a massage. After she is done, they decide to spend a little more time in bed together before starting their day. Ava is in the living room, on the phone, regretfully turning down a job as a personal chef. After she hangs up Harris calls to check in and she wishes him luck on his first day with the Salem PD. 



Harris thanks her and assures her that she will find a job soon as well. He promises to call her after his shift is over and they hang up. There is a knock on the door and Ava answers it. Ava doesn't know who the man standing there is and he tells her that he is Gil Carter and that he is an associate of Clyde's. She tells him that she already told Clyde no when he demanded that she work for him and Gil reminds her that if she doesn't do it then Tripp will be killed.




Ava wonders if Gil is the one who attacked Tripp but he tells her that he wasn't. He threatens to now though if she doesn't comply with Clyde's demands. Tripp comes out of the bedroom and Clyde tells him that he is the new owner of the Bistro and that he wants Ava to be his new manager. Tripp is thrilled that his mother has found a job and happily hugs her. 



Ava and Gil leave to get to work at the Bistro and Wendy comes out of the bedroom. Tripp tells her that Ava got a job and assures her that she will find one soon as well. Wendy tells him that she has a good lead that she is going to follow up on today.



Days Recap Today



At the Pub, Kate overhears Harris on the phone with Ava and is surprised to hear that he has a job. He tells her that Rafe hired him to be a cop at the Salem PD and she congratulates him. She admits that she has some reservations and is surprised Rafe doesn't because of Harris' relationship with Ava. Harris tells Kate that they are just friends and that she is determined to put her life back on track. 




Kate tells him about some of Ava's exploits and Harris makes it clear that he already knows everything and it doesn't change his opinion on Ava because he knows she has changed. Kate is skeptical but Harris doesn't care and leaves for work. Kayla comes in to get breakfast and she and Kate discuss what happened at the hospital when Leo and Dimitri escaped.



Days Recap Today



At the Salem PD, Jada tells Rafe that she is overwhelmed with her caseload and he introduces her to her new partner, Harris. Jada welcomes him to the force and Rafe gives them their first assignment, tracking down Leo and Dimitri. After they leave Rafe is having problems with his computer when Wendy comes in and fixes it. She tells him that she is there about the IT job and he hires her on the spot.

At the hospital, Tripp and Kayla talk about Leo and Dimitri's escape and Ava being back. Kayl is concerned but Tripp is convinced that his mother is trying to get her life on track. They talk about Tripp being attacked by the patient. He feels like he did something to cause it but Kayla assures him that's not the case.

Ava and Gil are in the Square and she is trying to convince him to help her get out of the deal with Clyde. She tells him that her heart is not in it so it will never work and he tells her that she has no choice. She offers to find him a replacement but he's not interested. Harris and Jada approach them and Harris asks if Ava is okay because she seems off.
