Spoilers for General Hospital on October 12, 2023: Josslyn is blindsided; Concerns about Ava grow; Austin is blackmailed; Willow is unsettled; and Scott takes on a new client.
GH Recap Today
Nina is excited that the wedding is finally happening. She reminisces about the time she spent with Sonny when he assumed the identity of Mike, and their life together thereafter. She also remembers asking Martin to report Carly and Drew to the SEC while keeping her name out of it. Donna interrupts her thoughts by saying that she was too excited to sleep and that's why she's up so early. Nina asks Donna about her opinion on the island where she's going to marry her father. Donna responds that she likes it and then asks Nina if she will be her second mommy once she marries her father. Nina affirms that she will, and Donna expresses her excitement about having two mommies, just like Avery. Nina then tells Donna that she needs her help with two important things. First, she wants her to be her flower girl, to which Donna readily agrees. Second, she needs Donna's help to ensure that Sonny doesn't see her too soon.
In Puerto Rico, Michael is talking to Kristina about how he almost forgot what it feels like to swim in the ocean there. Kristina questions how he could forget since they've been going there since they were kids and it's their second home. Michael admits that it has been a while since he last visited. Kristina tells Sonny that he should have come with them because the water was so warm and refreshing. However, Sonny is more concerned with drinking his morning coffee. Kristina notices that he is writing something and asks what it is. She realizes that he is writing his own vows for the wedding. Michael notices that Sonny is handwriting his vows and Kristina notes that he must really be in love. Sonny admits that he has not finished writing his vows yet. Kristina suggests that he read it to them so that they can give their thoughts, but Sonny declines, saying that they won't hear the vows until Nina does. Kristina wonders what Nina's thoughts are about the island, but Sonny admits that they slept in separate rooms, as Nina didn't want any bad luck before the wedding. Kristina expresses her happiness for her dad and tells him that it was a good idea to choose the island for the wedding. Donna comes in and tells Kristina that it's time to get ready for the wedding, but they cannot allow Sonny to see Nina before it begins.
Willow has another bad dream where Harmony wakes her up and reminds her not to be late for the wedding. Willow asks what Harmony is doing there, to which Harmony replies that she is there to protect her, just like she has always done. Harmony then warns Willow about something very important. Wiley interrupts Willow's dream, informing her that it's time to get ready for the wedding. He wonders if his mother is sick again, but Willow assures him that she just slept late, perhaps because Amelia wasn't there to wake her up. Wiley mentions that baby Amelia cries a lot, and Willow tells him that it's normal for babies to cry. Wiley is relieved that Willow is feeling better and tells her that she tells him that she loves him. At that moment, Michael arrives and reminds them both that it's time to get ready.
GH Recap Today
There's a knock on the door while Josslyn is studying, so she tells the person to go away. Dex agrees to talk to her later and starts to leave. However, Josslyn tells him to wait, opens the door, and realizes it's him. She asks why he's there, and he asks if Trina is with her. Josslyn says she's alone, and Dex tells her that he missed her and kisses her. Josslyn stops him and says she's happy to see him, but she's confused about why he's there. She wonders why he's not with Sonny since he's his boss, and Dex tells her that Sonny is out of town with Nina.
Josslyn assumes they went so Sonny could finally show Nina the island, but Dex reveals that they went to Puerto Rico to elope. Josslyn is shocked and wonders why Michael and Willow are there too. She's upset that her mom and brother didn't tell her and feels left out. She admits that she doesn't want to care about Sonny, but she does. She feels isolated in her anger towards him and doesn't know what to do. Then, Pilar knocks on the door and asks if they've heard from Ava. She was supposed to pick up Avery at 5 p.m. but never showed up. Josslyn thinks something is wrong and decides to help Dex find out what's happening.
GH Recap Today
Austin visits Cyrus, who thanks him for coming. He cannot express how grateful he is that the judge is considering his plea for a hardship release. If the judge grants it, he will be eligible for an early parole. Austin tells him that it's good news. Cyrus says it's a miracle that the court is taking his age and fragile health into account, but they need a medical expert's opinion to confirm that he does not have the physical capacity to harm anyone. Cyrus thanks Austin for coming to speak on his behalf. Austin notes that he didn't have a choice once he realized what was at stake. Scott arrives, and Austin wonders why he is there. Cyrus tells him it's good to see his legal counsel in person and that his payment must have cleared. Scott says that he is representing Cyrus because he paid top dollar. Considering all the crimes Cyrus has committed in the past, Scott cannot guarantee the outcome of the case. However, Cyrus expects him to make a truly heroic argument in his favor, given the amount of money he has paid.
The judge gives his opening remarks, stating that he believes in rehabilitation, but not every criminal is worthy of a second chance. He points out that Cyrus has a long criminal record that ended with a hostage situation, and whatever decision he makes, he will have to defend it to the public. Scott steps up to argue that he understands the judge's hesitancy, but his client has reformed. He has found God and turned his life around. Furthermore, his health is fragile, so he is no longer a threat to society. Austin notes that if Cyrus remains in Pentonville, he could become debilitated and unable to defend himself.
Ava screams for help, but Mason tells her that no one can hear her. Despite all the noise she is making, no one is coming to help her. Ava calls him a sick SOB and notes how inhumane it is for him to hold her captive in these conditions. He says the boss is upset that she double-crossed them and it was a big mistake. Ava blames him for using someone as obvious as Betty to spy on Sonny. Mason says none of that matters now, she is where she is until he gets further instructions. As Mason walks away, he advises Ava to avoid trouble and watch out for the rats until he returns. Ava decides to use this time to plan her escape. However, her attempt is foiled by Mason, who reminds her that she won't be leaving until the boss permits. Later, Mason receives a call from Austin, who tells him that he has accomplished what he was asked to do, and it's time to release Ava. Mason reminds Austin that they are not the ones calling the shots.

Sonny informs Michael that he had a conversation with Carly regarding the wedding back in Port Charles. Michael expresses his contentment and emphasizes that it's essential for everyone to patch things up. Sonny inquires if that includes their relationship too. Michael reminisces about Morgan and mentions that the island reminds him of him. He further adds that Morgan loved Sonny and would have been delighted to witness his wedding day, just like Michael is.
There is a knock on the door. Nina expresses her concern that it might be the groom-to-be, but instead, Willow and Kristina enter the room to ensure that everything goes well for the bride and groom. Nina is overjoyed to see them and appreciates their presence. Kristina is determined to follow all the traditions and makes sure that Nina has something borrowed, something new, and something blue. Nina is surprised and grateful.
Michael reminds Kristina that they are at a beautiful destination wedding and suggests that she puts her phone away and enjoy the surroundings. Kristina responds by saying that it's ironic coming from him. She then asks about their father's whereabouts. Michael tells her that their father is at the chapel, ensuring that everything is perfect for the wedding.
Sonny is at the chapel; it's his wedding day. Although this isn't his first wedding, he hopes it will be his last. Nina came into his life, and although he didn't know who he was, she made him feel complete again. He started to believe that if he didn't remember his past, his present would be enough. Then a miracle happened and he remembered everything. He remembered his children, and his grandchildren, but he couldn't shake the feelings he had for Nina. He loves her with all his heart. He asks God to help make this day special and to help him make Nina happy in the way she deserves.
Nina tries to contact Ava but only gets her voicemail. She leaves a message saying that she's in Puerto Rico to marry Sonny and apologizes for not inviting her. She also mentions that Willow is there with her. Nina expresses her gratitude to Ava for being a great friend and always being supportive. She also shares her regret for not being able to share the wedding celebration with her. Nina promises to catch up with Ava over a drink and talk about everything once she's back in town.
Sonny and everyone else start putting things in place. Michael receives a text message from his SEC contact informing him that they have the name of who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC. Meanwhile, Wiley tells his father that his mother says he uses his phone too much and should stop because it's almost time for the wedding. As everyone takes their place, Michael asks Sonny if he is truly ready. Sonny confirms that he is ready and they proceed. Later, a stunning Nina walks down the aisle.
