Spoilers for General Hospital on October 19, 2023: Finn makes a romantic proposition. Felicia counsels Maxie. Valentin confides in Laura. Portia confronts Jordan. Gregory has reservations.
General Hospital Episode Recap October 19, 2023: Valentin Clues In Laura
Laura gets to Valentin's house and can see he is very upset. He tells her that he needs her help because he doesn't think he knows his own daughter anymore. Laura tells him to tell her what’s going on and he fills her in on what it been happening with Anna’s house burning down and Charlotte going to stay with Dante and Sam. Laura agrees that it was the safest place for her because Anna has so many enemies.
Valentin tells Laura they never knew that it was Charlotte that they had to be afraid of. Laura doesn’t understand what he means and he tells her about Charlotte trashing Anna's hotel room and leaving the threatening message on her mirror. Laura doesn’t believe that it was Charlotte, but Valentin tells her that he saw Charlotte in the video footage and she was the only one there.
Laura is concerned and he tells her that it gets even worse. Valentin confides that he thinks that Charlotte is the one who burned down Anna's house. Laura doesn’t think it’s possible but Valentin convinces her that it is. Laura wants to see the footage but Valentin tells her that it doesn't exist anymore. They try to figure out why she could be acting the way she’s been acting and Laura realizes that it’s all Victor's influence. She tells Valentin about the time she saw Victor and Charlotte talking at the MetroCourt. They realize that Victor is using Charlotte to get his revenge on Anna. Laura says they have to get her out from under his influence.

TJ finds Portia in the hospital and congratulates her on her new position as Co-COS. She thanks him and tells him how excited she is and then he tells her that Cyrus was at the hospital last night and that he's been released from prison. Finn sees Liz and apologizes for having to cut their date short because Violet was sick. Liz understands because she’s a parent too and asks if he wants to try again on Friday night. Finn tells her no and Liz is shocked until he says that he wants more than one night and suggests that they go away with each other for the weekend to his friend's cabin. Liz agrees, and they both very excitedly lock in the plans.
Finn gets called away for surgery and Liz calls her grandmother to ask her to watch the boys while she goes away with Finn. Liz admits how much she likes him to Grams. Finn calls Chase and asks him to keep Violet for him for the weekend and then asks TJ if they can reschedule their meetings for any time, not the weekend. TJ tells him that he looks happy and Finn admits that he is. TJ updates Finn about the surrogacy and Finn congratulates him.

Anna meets Jordan at the MetroCourt and asks if they can find a more secluded table. Anna tells her that she has a new bodyguard with her all the time and that when her enemies come for her again, she will be ready for them. Portia arrives and confronts Jordan, demanding to know why she wasn’t notified that Cyrus was getting out of jail.
Jordan is caught completely off guard because she wasn’t notified that he was being released either. She makes a call demanding to know who dropped the ball on notifying her. Portia is frantic, worried that Cyrus will come after her or her daughter, and wants to know if there’s anything they can do to get him put back in prison. Anna tells her that there’s not because it doesn't work that way. Jordan thinks that Cyrus will be on his best behavior because he doesn't want to go back to prison.

Maxie brings Felicia breakfast at the hospital and they talk about her new job and Maxie's new house. Maxie tells her that things have been tense at work and tells her that Lucy wants to find a new face of deception. She tells her that she felt bad about them doing it behind Sasha‘s back, so she went to see her to tell her only to find out that Sasha was planning on leaving town with no word to anybody. Maxie understands her friend, wanting a new start but wishes she wouldn’t go. They talk about what Brooklyn did to deception and Maxi expresses her anger to Felicia over the issue. Felicia points out that everyone makes mistakes, including Maxie, and encourages her to forgive Brooklyn and be her friend again. She also encourages Maxie to tell Sasha that she doesn’t want her to leave town.

Trina is at the gallery, holding her turtle dove and thinking about making love to Spencer in New York when he surprises her with a coffee. Trina is thrilled to find out that Nik is alive but Spencer thinks Nik coming back would ruin things with him, Esme, and Ace. He tells her that they are in a nice routine and Nik would blow it all up. Spencer thinks Ace is better off without their father. Trina is confused because the last time they talked, he remembered the good times he and Nik had together.
Spencer tells her that it was a brief moment of false sentiment but Trina thinks Ace needs his father. Spencer disagrees because Ace has him. Trina reminds him that he is his brother, not his father but Spencer doesn't care. He is determined to be there for his little brother and to help Esme raise him. Trina is scared that Esme will revert to her old self and Spencer concedes that she could but right now she seems sincere and things are good.
Trina thinks Esme wants him back but he tells her that Esme isn't a threat to them. Trina tells him that he has to think about his future, their future. She asks where he sees himself in the future and he makes a joke about it. Trina asks what makes him happy and Spencer tells her that she and Ace are what make him happy.

Gregory comes to Alexis' office and she tells him that she's glad that he's there because she is interviewing the judge in Drew's case and wants him to sit in. She tells him that if they are successful they can get Drew out of jail. Gregory is hesitant but Alexis convinces him to help her. They come up with a plan and when the judge gets there Gregory plays to his ego and flatters to him to put him at ease. They bring up a billionaire who agrees with his stances and the judge claims to have never met him. Alexis confronts him with the fact that he took trips on the man's plane.
