Spoilers for General Hospital on October 24, 2023: Nina chews out Martin; Laura confronts Scott; Lucy seeks out Tracy; Cyrus delivers a threat; and Michael ponders a big decision.

Lucy and Scott are at the Metro Court when Laura interrupts them to speak with Scott privately. As they step away, Laura asks Scott how he could help her brother get out of prison. He wonders why Laura is so angry since Cyrus is her brother. Laura asks how Scott got paid since Cyrus had told Martin to give all his money away while he was in prison. Scott reveals that Cyrus mentioned a fund that helps prisoners, and Laura is surprised to learn that it is the same fund Cyrus had donated all his money to. Later, Laura received a text and had to leave in a hurry.
At the hospital, Austin corners Cyrus with a scalpel. He asks how could still try and kill Ava, after his help in getting him released. Cyrus notes that it's very clear that Austin has feelings for Ava but he demands that he take his hands off of him and get him in to see Mason. TJ enters the room to give Mason an update on his recovery, informing him that he is recovering nicely. Mason expresses his excitement to leave the hospital, but TJ reminds him that he will be heading to prison. Later, Austin brings Cyrus in to see Mason. Cyrus says that when he got to the hospital Austin was really upset with him because he was convinced that he was the one who gave Mason the order to kill Ava Jerome. Cyrus demands that Mason tell Austin the last words he told him on the phone that night, which were to take Ava home. Mason admits that he disobeyed Cyrus's orders. Cyrus is not happy about it and threatens Mason that it would be extremely painful if he ever disobeyed him again. Mason says he understands and apologizes for his mistake.

Portia returns home, and Curtis notices that she seems upset. He asks her what is wrong, but she claims that she is fine and has come home during her lunch break to spend time with him. Curtis then shows her the pictures that Trina had sent him from her time in New York with Spencer. Curtis is surprised by her nonchalant reaction. Portia explains that Spencer genuinely cares about Trina, and she is old enough to make her own decisions. Suddenly, Portia gets an alert and has to return to work. She apologizes to Curtis for having to go and reminds him that she loves him before leaving. Just as Portia is heading out, Laura arrives as Portia had requested. Curtis is happy to see her and tells her that he is glad she came. Laura apologizes for being away for so long, explaining that she has been looking for her son. Curtis understands and sympathizes with her. Laura then reminds Curtis how much he means to her, calling him a hero. They both agree that they have an unbreakable bond and that nothing will ever change that.
At the Q Mansion, Yuri asks Lois what he can get for her, and after he steps away, Lois confesses to Brook Lynn that she finds Yuri cute and can't believe that Monica has him working there. Brook Lynn questions her mother, wondering why she wants cookies after claiming to be full. Lois explains that she wants to offer some to Chase, whom she invited over to spend time with Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn calls out her mother for having an ulterior motive to get her to change her mind about accepting Tracy's offer. She threatens Lois that she won't accept the offer if it comes up. Later, Chase arrives, and Lois thanks him for coming. However, when Lois brings up Tracy, Brook Lynn stops her. They start talking about music, and Lois asks Brook Lynn to play while Chase sings. Though Brook Lynn suggests he shouldn't, Chase agrees to sing for her. Lois watches as Brook Lynn plays the piano while Chase sings. After the performance, Lois tells him how perfect it was and asks them to sing another song. However, Lucy interrupts them, demanding to see Tracy and then lashing out at Brook Lynn instead.
GH Recap Today
Michael is listening to a recording of Martin exposing Nina as the one who reported Carly and Drew to the SEC. Michael decides that it's time for his father to know the truth about the woman he married, just as Martin enters the room and warns Michael to think twice before he does anything. Michael reminds Martin that he already did his part, and then asks him to excuse himself as he has work to do. Martin cautions Michael about the type of woman Nina can be when someone tries to take away everything that matters to her. Michael suggests that Martin is more worried about what Nina will do to him once she finds out he gave her up. Martin admits that Michael may be right, but warns that Nina will make Michael's life a living hell if he goes after her.
Nina and Sonny share a kiss. Nina shows him a nice little frame with Wiley and Donna in it, thinking that Michael and others would love it too. Sonny notices Nina is lost in thought and wonders if she's thinking about the time she missed with her daughter. Nina admits it and Sonny points out that Carly is partly to blame for that. He then informs Nina that Drew is back in Pentonville and Carly is trying to get him out. Nina hopes that Carly succeeds, and Sonny is amazed by her response. They both acknowledge that they have a lot of work to do before she leaves. However, before she goes, she reminds Sonny that she loves him, and he thanks her for the gift. As Sonny is finishing a call, Michael visits him and says that he needs to talk to him about something. Sonny shows Michael the special frame pictures that Nina gave him and talks about how much he loves her and how much she has changed his life. They discuss how to get Drew out of Pentonville, and Sonny suggests that Nina could use the magazine to help. However, Michael stops him and says it's not a good idea. He reminds Sonny that they just got married and that it's not one more thing to put on her plate right now. Sonny expresses how much he wants his marriage to last, and Michael leaves.
Portia has a conversation with TJ at the hospital where she senses that something is not quite right. She inquires about it, and TJ mentions a person named Mason Gatlin. Portia realizes that TJ recognizes Mason from somewhere and suggests that it would be best for him to avoid any interaction with Mason and his family.
