Spoilers for General Hospital on October 5, 2023: Spencer and Trina affirm their feelings; Sonny issues a threat; Tracy has a slip of the tongue; and Valentin surprises Anna. Sasha is in danger.
General Hospital Episode Recap October 5, 2023:
Anna comes into the house and asks if this is where Valentin has been hiding. He tells her that he wasn't hiding, he was making a home for them. Charlotte comes in and asks why the door is open and then sees Anna and is shocked. Anna greets her and Charlotte asks how she likes their home. Anna says that it's lovely. Charlotte tells Valentin that she is going to the skateboard park with Jake. He tries to argue but she begs so he lets her. Valentin apologizes to Anna after she leaves. He confesses to keeping secrets and apologizes for betraying her trust. Anna questions why he felt the need to keep the secret from her, and Charlotte eavesdrops on their conversation. Valentin explains that he bought the house for Charlotte and Anna, as he wants to start a new life with them. He wanted to surprise Anna because he has always wanted a life with her. Valentin mentions that he needs to focus his attention on Charlotte right now, and it's not the right time for Anna to move in. Anna admires Valentin's love for his daughter, and he promises that they will move in together once everything is right. They kiss.

Spencer and Trina return to their hotel room, and she excitedly recounts their private tour of the Met. She expresses her disbelief and gratitude that he arranged such a special experience for her, and he reassures her that he would do anything for her. They share a kiss before making love and reflecting on their amazing trip. Spencer admits to being captivated by Trina's presence at the museum. She tells him to be careful or she will fall in love with him even more. Spencer tells her that he is crazy in love with her and they kiss again. Trina talks about Art and Spencer loves it as they continue to kiss in bed. Spencer tells her that she completed parts of him that he never knew completed and this weekend was the best and they will never forget it. Since they have more time before they leave, Spencer suggesting having one last meal but Trina wants to do room service and stay in bed. Thinking about her dad makes her feel guilty for being happy. Spencer and Trina leave to return to Port Charles.

Finn goes to check on Chase after a pepper spray incident. He helps him rinse his eyes and jokingly reminds him about pepper spray safety. Chase shares that he managed to handle a violent situation without resorting to gunfire. Finn praises him and suggests they meet in the lounge once he's ready. Later, in the lobby, Tracy arrives and informs Finn that she was reinstated to the hospital board. They plan to play backgammon together before Finn leaves. As Tracy steps off the elevator, she notices Chase and asks if he is alright. He assures her he is fine, but she wonders if it has something to do with Brook Lynn. Tracy makes a slip of the tongue by asking about Gregory and if he had fallen again and was in the ER. Tracy tries to avoid his questions, but Chase persists until she finally reveals that Gregory has ALS. Finn overhears their conversation and confirms it is true, but explains that their father was also planning to tell Chase. Furious that everyone knew except him, Chase storms out and breaks down. Tracy apologizes to Finn, but he assures her it isn't her fault. Finn realizes he handled the situation poorly and should have told his brother himself.

Alexis is working in her office when Gregory comes to drop off his latest piece. She tells him that she is busy but will read it right after she finishes. He puts a file on her desk and leaves her to work. She accidentally drops it on the floor and when she picks it up she sees that it also has Gregory's bucket list in it. Later Gregory comes back and asks what she thought. She tells him that she hasn't read it yet but she will read it on her phone during one of her meetings. She gives Gregory his folder back and he drops it and sees the bucket list. Alexis is impressed by the list and finds it diverting. He mentions that skydiving is the next activity and asks if she would like to help him check it off the list. After completing yoga, Alexis inquires about the next item on the list, but Gregory decides to wait until after he tells Chase about his ALS before making a decision.

Sonny inquires about Gladys' travel payment plan and confronts her about using stolen money from Sasha to settle her debts with Selina Wu. He expresses his disappointment with her dishonesty and warns her against lying in the future. Despite her pleas, he stands firm and insists that she must face the consequences of her actions.
Sonny confronts Gladys and accuses her of hiring a doctor to mess with Sasha's head. Sam reveals that Gladys has also had Sasha drugged. Overcome with emotion, Gladys breaks down in tears as Sonny scolds her for using his dad, Brando, and Sasha. He promises that her days of manipulating others are over. Sonny asks Sam to leave them alone, and Gladys pleads with her not to leave her alone with him. After Sam leaves, Gladys apologizes to Sonny and blames her behavior on gambling. Sonny demands that she confess and warn her that she will face consequences. He calls in Frank, who will take her to Bridgeport and offers her a warning. If she breaks any of the rules, Frank will take her on her last ride.

At the PCPD Mac asks an officer to bring Cody to the interrogation room for him. The officer comes back and tells Mac that Cody is gone and that Dante took him back to Ferncliff. Mac is worried and tells the office to come with him.

Cody comes in just as Sasha and Dr. Montague are struggling. He tells the man to get away from her but Montague says he doesn't take orders from escaped mental patients. He grabs Sasha and points the syringe at her and says that he's leaving and taking her with him. Montague tells Cody that the syringe contains propofol which will kill Sasha and Cody steps out of the way. Janice appears and is shocked by what she sees and Montague says he is going to need her help. A fight breaks out and then Dante shows up with his gun. Mac arrives and inquires about the situation. Dr. Montague tries to accuse Cody, but Janice tells the truth, resulting in Dr. Montague's arrest. Sasha thanks Cody and embraces him as he informs her that it's all over. Dante informs Mac about what truly occurred at Ferncliff. They both agree that Cody did really good and the doctor is going away for a long time. Cody then confronts Dr. Montague and asks how it feels to be in Sasha's place now. Montague is hopeful that he will get a good lawyer and get off. Cody gives him a fist in the stomach just in case. After Montague is escorted out, Sasha and Cody leave together.
