The Young and the Restless Recap for Wednesday, October 11, 2023:
Today on The Young and the Restless, Jack outsmarts Tucker, Daniel keeps a secret from Lily, and Phyllis confides in Danny.

Kyle wakes up and asks Audra why she let him sleep so late. He gets dressed quickly as she tells him that he was sleeping so peacefully that she didn't want to wake him up. He admits that he slept better than he has in a while and she tells him that he should sleep over more often. He's never done it before and she says there's a first time for everything. Kyle is upset with himself for not being home when Harrison woke up but Audra tells him there is a house full of people there for Harrison and it's not the end of the world.

Daniel pours coffee and stares off into the distance and Lily asks if he's ok because he seems distracted. He tells her that he just has a lot on his mind and sits at the table with her. She brings up Phyllis starting at Omegasphere that day and he admits to being on edge about it. She asks if he's worried and he tells her that he wants things to work out for Phyllis, but you never know how things will go with her. Lily tells him to remember that his intentions were good giving Phyllis a fresh start. He admits to being skeptical that things can work out. He says that he wants to trust her but she's still Phyllis Summers so anything can happen.
Lily hopes things will work out and Phyllis will behave herself. Daniel has his doubts but agrees to be cautiously optimistic. He asks if Lily found out what Mamie was up to and she says she hopes Mamie is telling the truth about wanting to be with family. They make lunch plans and kiss before Lily leaves for work. After she is gone, Daniel gets a text from Heather telling him how excited she and Lucy are to come home.

Phyllis is on her laptop at Crimson Lights when she texts Jack that she found something and asks if they can meet. Danny comes in and asks if everything is ok. She asks how he's doing and he asks what she was doing. Phyllis tells him that she was doing research for her first day a Omegasphere and he is happy she is seeing it through. Phyllis says that she wants to prove herself to Daniel and Summer and Danny thinks she can. She thanks Danny for helping her change her perspective and believing in her. Danny tells her that he thinks they have gotten past their history and says they are good. Danny tells her that walking the straight and narrow will be challenging but he knows she can do it.
Danny tells Phyllis that Heather is back in town but that Lucy stayed in Lisbon with Christine. Phyllis is worried about Christine badmouthing her to Lucy but Danny tells Phyllis that she won't. Phyllis asks if he is holding out hope for him and Christine and he tries to avoid the question but she pushes him. Danny tells her that he wants Christine to be happy just like he wants her to be happy and Phyllis realizes he wants Christine back. Danny tells her that he wants them all to move forward, free from the past and Phyllis says she is on board. She sees Tucker as soon as he walks in and stares at her.
Phyllis thanks Danny for his support and he tells her that he will be rooting for her. She tells him she has to get to work and goes to get a refill on her coffee to-go. Tucker says she's been a busy woman and she asks what he means. He tells her that he knows she is helping Jack get information on him and she asks why he thinks that. He tells her that he has eyes and ears all over town just as Jack walks in and sees them talking. Phyllis takes her coffee and walks out, telling Jack to have a good day.
Tucker asks Jack if he got the gift and Jack says that he did but that he thinks Tucker is playing games. He tells him that he and Diane don't buy Tucker's truce. Tucker says that he doesn't understand why with the leverage they have against him. Jack tells him that they know what he had Phyllis do and that they are on to him. Tucker denies any involvement. Jack warns him not to do anything against Jabot again. He gets a text from Phyllis to meet him at Society and leaves quickly.

Devon and Abby are in the park with Dominic who has fallen asleep after playing. They talk about how much fun the reception was and Abby says she is happy Ashley wasn't there for it. She says that she's talked to her mother and Ashley admitted it was best she wasn't there for it. Abby thinks Ashley has softened a bit since Diane saved her life. They both agree that it's too soon for Ashley and Tucker to be around each other but Devon is disappointed because they seemed so happy together. Abby says she told Ashley about Tucker's gift for Jack and Diane and that Ashley didn't know how to take it.
Abby tells Devon that she told Ashley about his suspicions about Mamie and Tucker and Ashely said she wouldn't put it past Tucker. Devon says that Tucker denied it but he's not sure he can believe him because he knows what he saw when Mamie and Tucker saw each other. Abby asks if Mamie would work with someone trying to hurt the Abbotts and Devon doesn't think so but feels there is something going on. He wishes he could trust Tucker, but it's getting harder and harder.

Lily sees Devon and Abby in the park and she raves about Dominic. She tells Devon that she talked to Jill and she is going to Detroit to look into Mamie. Lily asks if he thinks Mamie might have a connection to Tucker. Devon tells her about the look he saw between Tucker and Mamie. He tells her that Tucker denied anything is going on but admits he doesn't believe him. Abby says she believes her family's opinion of Tucker and Lily says there is always the chance he is doing something underhanded.
Devon wonders if he should sever ties with Tucker and make a clean break. Abby and Lily ask if he really wants to do that and Abby brings up how Tucker is with Dominic. Devon admits that Tucker seemed to embrace being a father and grandfather and Lily asks what changed. Devon thinks whatever happened with Ashley put him back on a bad path. Lily and Abby vow to have Devon's back and Devon says he will not let Tucker hurt their family or their company.

Jack gets to Society, and Phyllis asks if he was followed. He said he thought Tucker might follow him so he took him on a wild goose chase. Phyllis tells him that she hacked into Tucker's computer and found out that he bought a listening device. Jack thanks her and she asks if they are square. He tells her that they are on their way but that she should admit she helped Tucker hack into Jabot but she denies it. Danny comes into Society and sees her with Jack but hides until Jack leaves.
After Jack is gone, Danny goes over and asks Phyllis what she's up to. He asks about the tension between her and Jack and she tells him that Jack can't forgive her for what she did. Danny asks if that's all it is and she says that it is. She asks why he followed her there and he admits to seeing what happened with her and Tucker at Crimson Lights and says it seemed suspicious. Danny hopes she's not caught in the middle of the battle between Tucker and Jack. She tells him that she's not and says he seems paranoid. Daniel walks up to them and asks, "Paranoid about what?"

Diane asks Kyle if he means it about coming back to Jabot and he tells her that he thinks it's the right move. Jack comes in and Diane asks how the meeting was. Jack holds up a finger to silence her and examines the bonsai tree until he finds the listening device. He puts the tree outside and tells Diane and Kyle about Phyllis finding Tucker's purchase of the listening device. They ask why he didn't destroy it and he tells them that if Tucker's not on to them they can use the listening device to their advantage.

Tucker goes back to the GAC and sees Audra in the dining room. He sits down with her and tells her that Jack is trying to get Phyllis to play double agent. He doesn't understand why Jack would trust her and Audra says that their history can blur the lines. Tucker says he has to stay ahead of things and she tells him that he told her to have faith in him and better not let her down. He asks about her and Kyle and she tells him that she rekindled things. She confides in him about Kyle wanting Billy's job. She figures out that Tucker wants Billy out of the picture and plans on Kyle being the way to do it.
