Y&R Recap October 27, 2023: Adam Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

The Young and the Restless Recap for Friday, October 27, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor questions Nate’s loyalty, Victoria makes a painful decision, and Adam takes matters into his own hands.

Y&R Recap Today

Sally is asleep in her room and she dreams about Adam and Nick fighting over her. She yells at them to stop and Nick tells her that only she can stop it by choosing which one of them she wants. Sally wakes up saying that she doesn't know who she should choose. She gets up and tries to work but instead remembers good times with both Adam and Nick. Finally, Sally puts down her work and grabs her purse before leaving her room.

Victor and Nikki are at the ranch and they agree that Nick is probably going to tell Victoria the truth about Victor faking his condition. Victor hopes that he won't but Nikki thinks it's already too late for that outcome. Nate arrives and Victor asks Nikki to let them talk in private. When they are alone Victor tells Nate that it's hard to know who to trust when those around think you are losing your marbles. Nate asks him who thinks that and Victor tells him that his children do. 

He asks Nate if Victoria has said anything to him about it and tells him that he needs to know. Nate tells him that Victoria has expressed her concerns to him but that it is only because she loves him and is concerned for him and not because she wants to use it to take over the company. Victor tells him that he isn't sure he can trust any of his children and confides in him that he thinks they could be right about his having a mental decline. 

Nate asks why Victor thinks that and he tells him about forgetting that Sally lost the baby. Nate suggests that he see a doctor if he is truly concerned and Victor tells him that he will. Victor tells him that he can't tell anyone because if it got out that he was losing his marbles it would be devastating for the company. Nate offers to set Victor up with a doctor so he can be tested and diagnosed and Victor agrees but tells him that Adam and Victoria can not know anything about it...or else.

Victoria can't believe that Victor let them worry that something was wrong but Nick assures her that he did. She doesn't understand why Victor told Nick but he tells her that he actually figured it out from Victor's doodle. Nick says that it was something from a book he loved as a kid and he thinks Victor did it to send him a sign. Victoria wonders why he wanted Nick to know the truth but not her and Nick tells her that Victor is trying to figure out who is trying to betray him to get control of the company and knew Nick had no stake in that since he wasn't working there.

Victoria can't believe their father suspects that she would do that when it is obviously Adam he can't trust. Nick reminds her that is true for Nate as well and Victoria tells him that she isn't going to talk about Nate with him. Victoria asks if they should go along with Victor's plan so they can finally expose Adam for who he is and make Victor see the truth. Nick thinks they should and warns her that if they don't it could blow up in their faces.

Victoria tells Nick that she is furious with their father for letting her think something could be wrong but also relieved that he is okay. She asks if Nate is on Victor's suspect list as well. Nick promises that he won't try to convince Victor to not trust Nate and Victoria tells him that she still needs to know what Victor is thinking. Nick tells her that Victor told him that it was important that Victoria, Adam, and Nate not know the truth.

They agree to keep it quiet and Victoria tells Nick to not tell Victor that she knows. They hope in the end Victor will see they were right about Adam and he will be out of their lives for good. Nick tells her about his conversation with Adam and says that he thinks Adam is just as concerned as they were, but Victoria doesn't believe it. She confides in Nick how scared she was for Victor and he comforts her. Nikki comes in and watches them for a moment before coming over to the table.

Nikki sits down with them and is relieved that Nick told Victoria the truth. Victoria is upset that Nikki didn't but Nick tells her to back off because Victor put Nikki in an impossible situation. Nikki blames Adam's years of betrayal for Victor questioning who he can trust. They agree to go along with Victor's plan so that the traitor can be exposed but Victoria is not happy with their distrust of Nate.

Y&R Recap Today

Adam is in the Jazz room and remembers talking to Sally about his concerns about his father when the doctor arrives to meet with him. After getting assurances that their conversations are confidential, Adam tells the doctor what has been going on with Victor. The doctor tells him that without seeing Victor himself he cannot make a definitive diagnosis but does tell Adam the things that could be happening. 

The doctor also tells him that it could simply be memory issues related to aging, but Adam doesn't think so. He asks the doctor how they find out for sure without Victor knowing and the doctor tells Adam that they can't; Victor would have to know and consent to the examinations for them to properly diagnose him. He suggests that Adam try harder to convince Victor to be seen. 

Adam tells him that won't happen but he will keep trying. Before leaving the doctor tells him to take note of any further issues Victor has. Adam thanks him and promises to be in touch. After the doctor leaves Sally starts to come into the Jazz Room but turns to leave when she sees Adam. He sees her and calls her name to stop her from leaving. He asks her if she is ok and she claims that she's fine.

Sally tells him that coming in was a mistake and Adam asks if she thinks that because she saw him. She tells him no and that she's just tired and should be in bed before leaving. Adm follows her out. He follows her up to her room and asks why she ran out like that. Sally plays it off and assures him it didn't have anything to do with him. She can tell Adam is upset but he tells her that it's not about her and confides in her about meeting with the doctor about Victor. Sally hugs him to comfort him and they kiss. They end up in her room and Adam asks if they should stop. Sally tells him that she doesn't want to stop and they make love.
