Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Tuesday, November 21, 2023: Harris finds Ava in a precarious situation. EJ tries to support Nicole. Johnny reunites with Chanel. Sloan’s secret nearly comes out.




Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Tuesday, November 21, 2023: Chanel is On To Holly




Days Recap Today



Harris draws his gun and bursts into Ava's apartment to find Gil with a gunshot wound to the chest and Ava holding a gun. She tells him that Gil is dead and he checks Gil's body and confirms that she’s correct. Ava is very shaken up and Harris gets her to sit down on the couch with him and tell him what happened while he takes the gun from her. He asks why Gil was there and Ava lies and tells him that Gil said that he was there for work, but doesn’t mention him wanting the key to the evidence room at the Salem PD. 





She tells him about Gil trying to assault her and Harris notes that her blouse is torn. She tells him that Gil did it when she was trying to get away from him and Harris hugs her promising that everything will be OK. He tells her that he had a bad feeling about Gil from the moment he met him and that he should’ve trusted his instincts. Later at the Salem PD Ava worries that no one will believe her but Harris assures her that he believes her and will do everything he can to prove her innocence. He leaves the interrogation room to check in with the CSI team at her apartment and Ava‘s cell phone rings with a call from Statesville. 




Days Recap Today


 

Sloan’s on the phone with Melinda talking about the baby. Sloan brings up Nicole and says that she’s devastated and it’s all her fault. Eric walks in and hears the tail end of the conversation and Sloan quickly hangs up the call. Eric questions what she was talking about, and Sloan lies and tells Eric that the birth mother was struggling with her decision to give up the baby but assures him that she hasn’t changed her mind. After Eric leaves to go check on Nicole at the hospital Sloan visits Melinda and spends time with the baby. She promises Melinda that she’ll try to focus on the positive. 



Days Recap Today



EJ tries to comfort Nicole at the hospital, but she rejects his efforts. Holly shows up with her favorite pizza and tries to get her to try to eat a slice but Nicole snaps at her. EJ gently suggests Holly go home and promises to keep her updated about her mother. Nicole tells EJ that she just wants to sleep so he leaves her alone and promises he’ll be just outside. As he sits in the waiting room, Chad comes and tells him that he just heard about the baby and offers his condolences.




 The brothers hug and Chad does his best to comfort EJ.  EJ‘s main concern is Nicole and Chad tells him about how he was right after Abigail died and how he didn’t want anybody to comfort him. They also talk about when Chad lost Grace and the regrets they both had over not being able to spend any time with their child before losing them.  Eric goes into Nicole‘s room and sees that she’s resting and is about to leave but she asks him not to go. She tells him that she knows that he’s a man of God and asks him why God would do this. Eric tries to comfort her, but Nicole is inconsolable over the loss of her child.  




EJ comes in and sees them hugging and after Eric leaves, he tells Nicole about the visit with Chad. She’s surprised that he didn’t call Chad the night before with the news and he tells her that he didn’t want Chad to show up and comfort him because it would make it too real.  Nicole understands completely how he’s feeling because she feels the same way. 




Days Recap Today



Eric gets home and finds Sloan going over her list of what they need for their baby. He tells her about his visit with Nicole and Sloan tells him that she has something to tell him. Meanwhile, Melinda talks to the baby in her room and tells him that he will have a wonderful life as long as Sloan's guilty conscience doesn’t get in the way.




Days Recap Today



 
Johnny is thrilled when Chanel comes over after she gets home from her trip visiting Lani. He tells her what happened with Nicole and EJ losing the baby and Chanel feels bad and wants to do something for them. They decide to make 
them dinner, and Chanel goes to the kitchen to find out what ingredients they have to work with. Holly gets home and is upset after the visit with her mother. 





She tells Johnny what happened and he comforts her. Chanel walks in and watches them suspiciously Holly is surprised to see that Chanel is home, and Johnny tells her that she is welcome to hang out with them. Holly declines and tells him that she’s just going to go to her room. After she leaves, Chanel tells Johnny that they have the ingredients for lasagna but he tells her what happened with Holly and Nicole, and says that they should hold off on making dinner. Chanel tells him that she thinks that Holly has a crush on him but Johnny tells her that she’s wrong and confides in her about Holly's crush on EJ. Chanel is skeptical, but Johnny believes what Holly told him.
