Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on November 8, 2023: Days of Our Lives celebrates its 58th anniversary. John and Marlena celebrate their anniversary. Maggie reminisces about Victor. Tensions arise in the custody battle between Sarah and Xander. Alex and Theresa hatch a plan.




Days of Our Lives Episode Recap November 8, 2023: Steve's On To Konstantin




Days Recap Today



John surprises Marlena with strawberry body butter and edible strawberry massage lotion in bed for their anniversary. He tells her that he hopes she’s not disappointed that it’s not actually strawberries and whipped cream, and offers to go to the store to get some. Marlena stops him and tells him that they’re just lucky that they get to celebrate their anniversary together. John agrees and tells her that just a few months ago he thought that they would never have the chance. They kiss, and he jokingly puts some of the body butter on her nose before kissing her again. 





Out in the living room, Brady answers the door and finds Eric there. Brady's surprised that Eric would be there the morning after his wedding and Eric tells him that he let Sloan sleep in and he came over because he promised Brady that he would be there so they could give John and Marlena their anniversary gift together. Eric asks where they are and Brady says that they haven’t gotten up yet. The brother share a laugh as they realize their parents are in bed celebrating. 





When John and Marlena come out, they are surprised and happy to see Brady and Eric there and they tell them that they have a gift for them from all the kids. They give them the gift and John and Marlena open it and are touched to find a family tree with everybody’s names. Marlen mentions that they’ll have to put Sloan on it and Brady tells her that they all mutually agreed that they would leave significant others off. After Brady and Eric, leave, John surprises Marlena with actual strawberries and whipped cream, and she gives him some matching golf clubs for them to use when they retire. They agree that is many years away for them and kiss again.




Days Recap Today



Steve and Kayla have breakfast at the Pub and Roman tells them that he just had to break the bad news about Gabi to Will and Ariana. They ask what bad news and he is surprised that they haven’t heard anything from Tripp about what happened. Kayla checks the news on her tablet and shows Steve. They are both surprised that Gabi was arrested for killing Lis and Roman tells them that she’s facing a murder one charge.




Days Recap Today



Sarah comes in and finds Maggie looking at the portrait of Victor. She tells her mother that she knew it would be a hard day for her since it would’ve been her and Victor’s anniversary. She asks her which one it would be and Maggie tells her that it would’ve been their 13th. Neither of them knows that Konstantin is listening from around the corner and leaves after he hears Maggie say that.



Maggie offers to go to court with Sarah but she tells her that she doesn’t want her to have to worry about it on that day. Sarah tells Maggie she knows that Maggie was hoping that she and Xander could work out a custody arrangement but that it’s not gonna happen. Maggie harshly tells her that she needs to prepare herself because she could lose custody of her daughter forever. Maggie apologizes for being so harsh and Sarah says that she understands. 




She knows that Maggie is close to Xander but she just doesn’t see a way for them to work through things. Steve and Kayla come over with Carolyn’s scones as a surprise for Maggie. Kayla tells Sarah she’s so happy that she’s gonna be coming back to work at the hospital and Maggie is surprised to hear that. Sarah tells Maggie that it’s only part-time and she needs to do it to show the court that she can support her daughter on her own. Sarah leaves and Konstantin comes in. Maggie introduces him to Steve and Kayla, and he tells Steve that he heard about him from Victor and tells Kayla that she’s beautiful like her mother was in a picture he saw of Caroline that Victor had. 




He gives Maggie a gift he has for her. He tells her that he knows that it’s her 13th anniversary with Victor and the gift for the 13th year is lace. He says he remembered that there was a beautiful lace tablecloth at Victor's villa in Greece so he had a friend mail it to him so he could give it to Maggie. Maggie is very touched and leaves to put it on a table so that they can all enjoy their tea and scones together. Konstantin goes with her and Steve tells Kayla that he’s suspicious of Konstantin. He looks in the box and finds a tag for the tablecloth from Saxton's which proves that Konstantin lied to Maggie about where it came from. 



Steve and Kayla go back to the Pub after leaving Maggies's because Kayla forgot her wallet. They tell Roman about Konstantin and Steve decides that Black Patch needs to look into Konstantin to find out what he is up to.




Days Recap Today



Theresa gets home and gives Alex the chocolate croissants she got for him from Sweet Bits. She can tell he’s upset and asks what’s wrong. Alex angrily tells her that he spoke to the head of HR at Titan who told him that when they tried to authenticate the letter saying that he was Victor’s son, they realized that he had been forged and he knew that the person behind it was Theresa. He tells her that she’s never going to get him or his money and yells at her to get out. Theresa wakes up suddenly when Alex gently shakes her and realizes that she was just having a bad dream. Alex can tell that she is shaken and asks if she’s okay. She tells him that she was just having bad dreams and she’s happy that she’s awake. 



Days Recap Today



Theresa runs into Konstantin in the Square and he asks how it’s going with Alex. She tells him that it’s slow and steady and assures him that he’ll get his cut. He tells her that he’s but he better before walking away. Xander walks up and asks Theresa what she was talking to Konstantin about. Theresa deflects and tries to cover by saying that Konstantin was just asking for directions to some restaurant she had never heard of, but Xander doesn’t believe her. Theresa tells him that he’s just jealous that Alex is Victor's heir and not him before walking away. 




Xander runs into Sarah and the baby and they share a sweet moment with their daughter. Sarah asks Xander if they can delay the hearing because she wants to be there for Maggie on her and Victor’s anniversary. Xander agrees and tells Sarah that he wishes they could just work things out over a cup of tea. Sara says that there are times she thinks they can but then something always happens to make her see that she can’t trust him. Just as she starts to soften Eric storms over and blasts Xander for having him subpoenaed to testify against Sarah in the custody case. 




Days Recap Today





Theresa gets home for real and gives Alex the chocolate croissants she bought him from Sweet Bits. She asks if he’s okay, and in a moment very reminiscent of her dream, he tells her that he talked to HR at Titan. Theresa is concerned until Alex tells her that he found out that Victor had hired her to run Bella magazine for him when he was alive. Theresa tells him that she did and that she was very sad when Titan canceled it. 




Alex tells her that he was against that idea and now that he’s in charge of Titan he wants to revive the magazine and he offers her the job of running it. He tells her that there aren’t many people that he knows that he can trust at Titan because they are all more loyal to Maggie. He feels that he can trust Theresa and would like her to have her working at the company with him.
