Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on November 9, 2023: Rafe bears news of Gabi’s fate. Wendy’s courage is tested. Dimitri grapples with his guilt.




Days of Our Lives Episode Recap November 9, 2023: Stefan Loses His Cool






Days Recap Today


EJ is enjoying his morning coffee at the DiMera mansion and gloating over his victory when Belle comes in. He asks how she’s doing and says that he was concerned about her because he knows Shawn has left town. Belle tells him that she’s fine and says that’s not what she's there to talk to him about. She informs him that she is Gabi‘s lawyer and that she intends to fight very hard for her client. 




She accuses EJ of using his position as DA to get back at Gabi and Stefan for ousting him from the family company but EJ informs her that he didn’t even know Gabi was charged with anything until after he had accepted the position of DA from Paulina. He asks Belle what she intends to do about the very compelling evidence against Gabi.




Days Recap Today



Jada and Rafe discuss the evidence against his sister at the Salem PD. She tells him that there were two sets of prints on the knife and they belong to Gabi and Li. In the interrogation room, Stefan brings Gabi her favorite scones from Sweet Bits but she tells him that she doesn’t think she should get used to things for Sweet Bits since she’s probably going to prison. Stefan promises that they’re going to get her out of it no matter what it takes. Rafe tells them about what was found on the knife and tells his sister that they’re still investigating. 





Later Belle arrives and they discuss Gabi‘s arraignment. Belle tells them that EJ intends to request that Gabi not get bail due to her being a flight risk, and the family having the resources for her to run. Later on after the hearings, Gabi can’t believe that the judge denied her bail but Belle and Stefan tell her that they’ll appeal it and ask for a new judge. Rafe tells Gabi that in the meantime, he has to arrange for her transport to Statesville. 




EJ comes into the police department gloating and Stefn grabs him by the throat. he’s about to punch him when Rafe comes in and tells them to knock it off. Before leaving EJ tells Gabi to enjoy Statesville and blows her a kiss. Gabi calls Ariana and explains everything to her and swears to her that she’s innocent. She promises her daughter that once she’s released she’ll come visit so they can spend time together. Gabi and Stefan share an emotional goodbye before she’s taken to prison.



Days Recap Today



Tripp is reading the news on his tablet when Wendy wakes up. They talk about how she has to call her father and Wendy is reluctant, but Tripp convinces her to make the call so that her father doesn’t hear the news another way. When she calls her dad and tries to tell him she breaks down and hands Tripp the phone, telling him that she can’t do it. Tripp breaks the news as gently as he can to Wendy and Li's father that Li's been killed. After he hangs up Wendy thanks him and they talk about how her father took the news. 



Jada arrives and questions Wendy about Li’s emotional state when she saw him with the knife before he was killed.  Wendy lashes out at Jada for implying that her brother killed himself and framed Gabi for it but Jada tries to explain to her that she’s just trying to get the truth no matter what it is. Jada gets a phone call and has to leave and after she’s gone Wendy worries that she might’ve put her new job at the Salem PD in jeopardy.



Days Recap Today




Belle comes across EJ at the park and rips into him for arguing for no bail for Gabi. She tells him that they’re going to appeal, but EJ is unfazed. Belle tells him that she knows that he’s doing this for revenge and that while he may have won the battle,  he’s not gonna win the war. She warns him that Stefan will now be out for revenge against him before leaving the park.



Days Recap Today



Leo and Dimitri are in the motel room trying to come up with a plan to get out of town safely. Dimitri reads the paper and is gleeful when he finds out that Gabi has been arrested for murder. They realize that Rolf being her accomplice in blackmailing Li could mean that he’s still in town and could therefore help them. There’s a knock on the door and they’re nervous but Rolf talks to Dimitri through the door and tells him that he’s there to help him. 



They let him in and Rolf tells Dimitri that, even though Megan is very disappointed that he blew his chance to gain the inheritance by falling in love with Leo, she still loves him and wants to help him and has instructed Rolf to help him get away from Salem. The one caveat is that he can’t bring Leo with him. Dimitri makes it clear to Rolf that he is not going anywhere unless Leo can come with them. Rolf finally gives in and leaves to make the arrangements. After sharing a romantic moment, Leo and Dimitri pack and are about to leave the motel but when they open the door Jada is standing on the other side.
