Today on General Hospital: there's an update on Charlotte's condition and more... (Spoilers recap for November 7, 2023)
General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Tuesday, November 7, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Sonny offers support. Sam is overjoyed. Gregory helps Alexis with an unethical issue. Robert offers an explanation. Curtis gets valuable advice.
GH Recap Today
Anna is feeling guilty and tells Sonny that she had a bad day. She confesses that she shot Charlotte and is haunted by the incident. Sonny tries to comfort her by getting her some tea. During their conversation, Anna asks Sonny about his business and why he chose coffee. Sonny explains that he started his company in the coffee industry because it was a growing market at the time. Nina joins them and inquires about the situation. Anna tells her what happened. Later, Sonny and Anna discuss the possibility that Charlotte had a key to her apartment. However, Anna did not give her a key and had lost her own. She regrets letting go of her bodyguard and blames herself for what happened. Sonny reassures her and encourages her not to blame herself.
Laura and Kevin arrive at the hospital. Valentin thanks them for coming and tells them that Charlotte is in surgery because she was shot by Anna. Laura and Kevin are shocked. They wonder how Charlotte got into the apartment. While they may not know what her intentions were, Valentin recounts how he got there too late. Valentin says Anna came and tried to explain but he couldn't and still can't wrap his head around how she could shoot his daughter. Kevin and Laura leave to see what they can find out about Charlotte. While Valentin is alone, Nina rushes in and they hug. She tells him that she had to come after hearing about Charlotte. He blames himself, saying if he had to told Anna the truth this would not have happened. Nina begs him not to blame himself. She encourages him to be positive because Charlotte is a fighter and they must believe she will make it. Valentin and Laura return with an update just as the doctor comes out and Valentin asks him if his little girl is going to make it. Later, Nina calls Sonny from the hospital to inform him that Charlotte is out of surgery and is expected to recover.
GH Recap Today
At the gym, Curtis has a conversation with Devon about how empty it is. Curtis mentions that his good friends own the gym and he regrets pushing them away. Devon reminds him that this is the time when he needs his friends the most and questions why he pushed them away. Curtis wonders how Devon can remain so positive and asks him about his secret. Devon admits that he had struggled with bitterness for years and it took him a lifetime of work to overcome it. Curtis acknowledges that he has a long way to go but is ready to start moving forward. He decides to tell his wife the truth from now on.
Jordan, Mac and Robert meet with Dante at the station to get the full details of what happened. Dante explains what occurred. Jordan expresses concern that Anna could be in serious trouble. They can't understand how Charlotte got into the apartment and they wonder if she had a key. Dante recalls Jake mentioning that Charlotte had a key and said that it was the key to getting everything she wanted. Robert points out that Anna wasn't expecting Charlotte, but he knows who she was expecting. He tells them about the document that Anna found, which had convinced her that a former agent was stalking her. As Anna walked into her apartment, she quickly analyzed the situation and realized that the only option she had was to defend herself against the person who seemed like they were about to shoot her. Meanwhile, Jordan expresses her gratitude to Dante for his help and he asks him to keep her updated on Charlotte's condition. Later, during a conversation with Robert and Mac, Jordan suggests that they might need to bring in an external investigator to handle the case, given how close they all are to Anna.
GH Recap Today
Drew pays a visit to Sam, who welcomes him warmly with a hug. He asks if it's a bad time, but she assures him that it's not. Sam is amazed that he's out of prison and he explains that he got released yesterday and went to see Carly before coming to see his daughter, Scout. Sam informs him that Scout is asleep, but Drew tells her not to wake her up. He then inquires about the incident with Charlotte and offers to help in any way possible, acknowledging how difficult it must be for the kids. Drew admits that he has a lot to make up for. He reveals that Carly is thrilled to have him back home and that Alexis was responsible for his release. Scout wakes up and is ecstatic to see her father. Later, Dante returns home and tells Sam that he wishes he was still on administrative leave so that he wouldn't have to deal with the current situation. Sam informs him about Drew's visit, and that Scout is with him. She then asks how things went at the station.
Gregory arrives at the office and Alexis thanks him for coming. She needs his input as she has a question about journalism ethics. She wants to know if she is obligated to report the shooting of a child. She tells him that Charlotte was shot by Anna because she came home and saw her in her apartment. Anna wasn't aware that it was her. She was actually convinced that it was an intruder, the person targeting her for months, so shot at them. Alexis thinks Anna shot an innocent person and Gregory wonders what Charlotte was doing in Anna's apartment in the first place. Alexis says they need more facts; obviously, the shooting of a child is newsworthy, but she thinks she has to report it without naming the child. Gregory thinks she is making a good call while she hopes she is making the right call. Alexis asks how is he doing and he notes his ALS is progressing and he has no idea how long it's going to be before he needs a wheelchair. With that said, there are a few things to cross off his bucket list, and he asks if she changed her mind about skydiving. She tells him that she will do anything to support him but she is not jumping out of a plane. She is afraid of heights. Gregory leaves so she can focus on her work. Scout arrives and Alexis wonders what she is doing there. She says she has a big surprise for her, she didn't come alone and Drew walks in. Alexis is ecstatic to see him. He knows she played a big part in his release and thanks her.
