Today on General Hospital: Eddie takes a jump and more... (Spoilers recap for November 8, 2023)
General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Wednesday, November 8, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Michael is relieved. Tracy makes an announcement. Sasha tries to mend a broken bond. Austin is cagey. Sonny shares shocking information with Ava.
GH Recap Today
Brook Lynn visits the Deception office to talk to Maxie and is happy to see Sasha back. However, Maxie tells her that she is not going to be rejoining Deception. Brook Lynn says she has no desire to. An argument ensues between Brook Lynn and Maxie regarding the role she played in helping Tracy gain control of the company. Sasha intervenes and urges them to stop fighting, reminding them of their cherished friendship. Sasha also reminds Maxie that Brook Lynn would have had her back if she had ever been in trouble. Realizing the value of their friendship, they confess to missing each other. They discuss Georgie and Charlotte, with Maxie revealing that Georgie is in shock and feels guilty for not doing something. Spinelli has arranged for a counselor to see Georgie. Maxie also says that Sam and Elizabeth are doing the same for their kids. She then receives a call from Salvador, the photographer, which makes her ecstatic.
Eddie is playing his guitar and singing while Lois watches him. Suddenly, he stops and mumbles to himself that it's too cliché. Lois enters the room and advises him to take a break instead of making those facial expressions. However, Eddie is determined to finish the song and says he cannot leave it unfinished when he is so close. Lois suggests that he should leave the song and move on to something else, but Eddie disagrees. She then reminds him of a song and asks him to take a walk down memory lane. Lois thinks that Eddie is being stubborn like a Quartermaine and encourages him to figure out the problem with the song, where he stands, and where he wants to go. Eddie opens up to Lois and shares his struggles with finishing the song. Lois encourages Ned to put himself into his song. She urges him to take a leap of faith, and he agrees that she might be onto something. He grabs his guitar and heads to the boathouse. Lois talks to her mother on the phone, and Olivia enters the room. Lois tells Olivia that she just missed Ned, and that he's lost in his song. She believes that deep down, Ned is trying to come out, but also thinks that Olivia is doing the right thing by giving him space. Olivia agrees, but also expresses concern that someone else could take advantage of the situation. Lois thinks this is Tracy's influence and reminds Olivia how far they've come. Lois tells Olivia to go and lift Eddie's spirits since he's troubled about his song. She warns her not to let Tracy play games with her. Meanwhile, at the boathouse, Eddie dives right into his song and suddenly hears Ned vocalizing a song. He stops playing the guitar, takes off his jacket and jumps into the water. Later, Olivia comes searching for him and finds his jacket.

Michael is at Aurora and just finished a call. He walks into the office to see Carly and Drew and is overjoyed. He gives Drew a big hug and tells him how happy he is to have him back with them. Drew credits Carly for being a driving force in his release from Pentonville. Carly wants to know who tipped off the SEC about them. Drew suspects Ned because he had a strong motive. However, Carly cautions that they cannot confirm or deny this due to Ned's memory loss. Michael suggests that the leak may not have been related to Drew at all but rather Carly was the actual target. Drew advises them to let go of the past and move forward. Carly agrees to proceed as he wishes.
GH Recap Today
Chase arrives at the hospital and catches up with Austin, then tells him that he wants to ask some questions about his cousin, Mason Gatlin. He asks Austin if he knows why his cousin abducted Ava. Austin replies that he and his cousin are not close and that he only tolerates him because of some misguided sense of family loyalty. Their worlds don't intersect, and Austin thinks that they are done talking. However, if Chase has any more questions, he should speak to his lawyer.
Ava pays a visit to Sonny, but he tells her it's not a good time. Ava understands and asks Sonny if Brick had given him any information about Nikolas. Sonny dismisses the topic, telling her to forget about Nikolas. He warns her that she may be sleeping with the enemy and is unaware of it. Sonny inquires about how much her new boyfriend, Austin, has revealed to her about his boss. Ava quickly clarifies that Austin is not her boyfriend, but Sonny persists, suggesting that Austin may have played a role in her abduction. However, Ava defends Austin, stating that Mason was following orders from his mysterious boss. Sonny informs her that his boss is Cyrus. Ava wonders how he knows this. He explains that it can be deduced by examining the timeline of events. Sonny cites the example of Betty and how Austin showed up at Cyrus' release hearing, implying that it was not a coincidence. Sonny advises her to connect the dots. Ava suggests that Austin may have been trying to protect her. Sonny agrees but points out that she was still caught in the middle. Sonny says that despite any feelings Austin may have for her, his loyalty to Cyrus Renault takes precedence over everything else. Ava says she was in shock when that thing happened with Nikolas and there was Austin who said that he would help her. She trusted him and then Mason came along and said he had Nikolas's body. Mason never revealed who his boss was. However, Laura returned with the news that Nikolas is actually alive. If this new information is true, it means that Mason has been lying all along. Ava also suspects that Austin has been lying to her as well. Sonny advises her to use her intelligence and admit that Austin has in fact, been lying to her.
Chase visits Mason's hospital room and offers to ask him some questions if he feels up to it. Mason, who is handcuffed to the bed, agrees to talk. Chase asks him about the kidnapping of Ava Jerome, to which Mason responds with a request for a deal in exchange for information on who is behind the operation. After Chase leaves to see what he can do, Austin enters the room and interrogates his cousin about what he revealed to Chase.
