Today on The Young and the Restless: Nate blasts Victoria and more... (Spoilers recap for November 8, 2023)
The Young and the Restless Recap for November 8, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Victor puts a stop to his family’s infighting, Danny keeps the peace between Phyllis and Christine, and Chance catches Nina off guard.

Nate is shocked when Victor tells him that he’s fired and doesn’t understand why. Victor thinks that Nate was conspiring to have him locked away while he and Victoria took back the power that Victor had taken from her. He tells Nate that he talked to the head of the loony bin and confirmed everything. Nate tries to explain that he was just getting everything set in place for Victor, but Victor is unmoved.
Victoria is devastated that Victor didn’t trust her enough to tell her the truth, but Victor tells her that he had no choice if he wanted to find out who would betray him. She can’t believe that her father thinks that she would use a health condition against him just because of a job. Victor says he had never seen her as angry as she was when he demoted her, and he had to be sure of whom he could trust. Victor admits that he had thought that it would be Adam who would end up being the one to betray him, but it turns out it was Nate.
Nate continues to proclaim his innocence telling Victor that he gave him sound medical advice, but Victor angrily rebuffs him. Nate tells them that Victor did him a favor, just before storming out of the office. Victoria tells Victor that they’ll talk about this later before following Nate out. She catches up with Nate at the elevators and apologizes to him. Nate asks her if she is sorry that he lost his job or that she didn’t stand up for him.
Victoria says that she’s sorry for all of it, but Nate is still hurt by her lack of support. Victoria wants to talk things out but Nate isn’t interested. He gets on the elevator and leaves. Later he is having a drink at Society when Victoria texts him and asks if they can meet and talk. He ignores her text and instead returns Devon’s text, inviting him for a drink and asks him when and where.
Back in Victor‘s office, Victor asks Nick where he stands, and Nick tells him that he’s surprised like everyone else, that it wasn’t Adam. Adam reminds him that he asked for them to all come together and work and help their father, but Nick wouldn’t do that. Nick warns Victor, that he may have done more than Victoria will forgive him for. Victor tells Nick that he needs him back at the company.

Christine meets Nina at Society and they talk about how great it is to be back together again. Christine tells her about her time with Danny at the Jazz room and Phyllis' unhappiness with her showing up. Nina takes great joy at Phyllis' pain. Christine tells Nina that she doesn’t want to be judged and Nina asks if something happened between her and Danny. Christine tells her that nothing happened but she still worries about what happens next. She’s unsure about things in her personal life and in her professional life.
She has no interest in another term as the DA but isn’t sure where she wants to go from here. Just as she and Nina start to discuss her options, Nina gets a call from the hospital telling her that Chance has been shot. Christine and Nina rush to the hospital and Christine questions the nurse about Chance's condition while Nina goes to find her son. When Nina walks into his room and sees him unconscious on the bed, she breaks down.

Phyllis runs into Danny at the Jazz room and tries to talk to him, but he’s very short with his answers. She thinks it has something to do with Christine coming back to town but he is sure sure that it doesn’t. Danny tells Phyllis that Christine is going through a hard time and asks her to back off of her and Phyllis agrees to do it for Danny. He tells her how proud he is of how hard she’s working to make up for the things that she’s done and she tells him that she’s not the old her anymore and that she’s changed.
Phyllis tells him that she wants to get into meditation and he tells her that he’s been meditating for years and really loves it. She asks him to teach her, but he tells her that she needs somebody dedicated to it so she takes it seriously. He tells her that he’ll give her recommendations and Phyllis is happy with that. She asks if he’s free for dinner, but he tells her he has plans. Phyllis assumes that the plans are with Christine, but Danny informs her that they’re actually with Daniel and Lucy. Phyllis is thrilled that her granddaughter is back in town and asks if Heather will be joining them as well. Danny says that he assumes so but cautions Phyllis against trying to push Heather and Daniel together again. Phyllis promises that she won’t and Danny invites her to join them for dinner.
Y&R Recap Today
Chloe and Chelsea meet at Crimson Lights and Chelsea says that Summer will join them soon. Chelsea is excited about the meeting, but Chloe has her reservations. When Summer gets there, she tells them that she wants to clear the air and have everything be a collaboration. She promises to try to listen more and really wants them to find a way to work together.
Chloe bluntly tells her that she doesn’t think that it can work. Summer tries to talk her out of it, but Chloe thinks the best thing she can do for everyone, including the company, is to leave. Summer and Chelsea continue to try to talk Chloe out of it and she tells them that she thinks that they’re going to do great things together but that she doesn’t feel that she belongs in the mix.
She confides in them about her trip to Daniel’s apartment with Sally, and how good it felt to be working with Sally again. As they are wrapping up their meeting, they overhear Sharon frantically on the phone talking to Esther and asking her to get there as soon as possible. They ask what’s going on and Sharon tells them that Chance has been shot. Summer is visibly shaken.
