Today on The Young and the Restless: Victor plays a good game and more... (Spoilers recap for November 1, 2023)

The Young and the Restless Recap for Wednesday, November 1, 2023:
Today on The Young and the Restless, Victor tests Nick and Victoria, Chelsea returns home, and Adam has a rude awakening.
Y&R Recap Today
Nick and Victoria go to Victor‘s office at Newman. Enterprises and Nick tells him that he told Victoria everything. Victoria tells her father that she can’t believe he thought that she would take advantage of him having a mental condition just because of a job and Victor claims to not know what they’re talking about. Both Victoria and Nick think that he’s putting them on but he maintains that he’s not faking anything and never said that he was to Nick.
He accuses Nick and Victoria of trying to make him think he’s losing his mind and they both tell him that they would never do that. They tell him they have no problem going along with the plan so that he can trap Adam and show that he can’t be trusted, but Victor angrily insists that there is no plan. Nate interrupts and their meeting is over. After Nick and Victoria leave, Victor tells Nate that all of his children are conspiring against him.
Nate tells him that Victoria and Nick would never do that and that he even thinks Adam‘s concern for him is genuine. Victor asks if he’s heard from any of the specialists yet and Nate tells him that he’s waiting for calls back. They go to the park and Victor asks why they are there and Nate tells him that Victor asked him to bring him. Victor’s confused and tells Nate that he’s the only one that he can trust. Nate tells him that’s not true, but Victor doesn't believe it. Victor tells him he has a plan for Adam and Victoria. Nate asks him what his plan is and Victor tells him that he’s going to fire both of them to keep them far away from him and the company.

Nick and Victoria are walking into the GAC as Adam comes down the stairs. Nick asks if he was bothering Sally, but Adam refuses to take the bait. He asks them if they’ve seen their father and they tell him that they just came from seeing Victor. Nick tells him that he seems more forgetful today. Adam thinks that they should work together and tells them about the doctor that he spoke to. Victoria is upset that he contacted somebody without consulting with them, but he tells her that he couldn’t just sit by and do nothing.
He tells them the doctor said that Victor should be seen and thinks that the three of them together could convince Victor to do that, but Victoria tells him that his help is not needed and that she and Nick will take care of it. Adam reminds her that he is also Victor’s child and Victoria says that neither their father nor them trust him. After Adam leaves Nick and Victoria sit down and discuss what happened when they confronted Victor. They think the possibilities are that he’s not faking and was trying to cover with Nick so that they wouldn’t know that there is something truly wrong with him or that he’s putting another plan in place and this time Victoria is the target.

Billy is sitting in the park when Chelsea surprises him. He’s very happy that she’s home and they greet each other warmly. They have coffee at Crimson Lights and Chelsea fills him in on how Connor is settling into his new school. Billy is very happy to hear that she’s going to be spending more time in Genoa City now that Connor is so well-adjusted to where he is. She admits to him that she also came home for work reasons but suggests that they go upstairs for a little while. Billy happily accepts and they go upstairs to Chelsea’s apartment and make love.
Afterwards, they snuggle in bed and Billy tells her what’s been going on at Jabot and Tucker. He also tells her about his fears that Kyle is trying to push him out of the company and that between Diane and Kyle, they may be able to convince Jack to fire him. Chelsea promises her support which he appreciates.
Y&R Recap Today
Mariah sees Kyle having coffee at Society and joins him. She catches him up on what’s going on with Aria‘s hearing condition. She tells him that the specialist confirmed the diagnosis that Aria has severe hearing loss, but that they fitted her for hearing aids, and they had just come in and were going to be using them for the first time today, Kyle is very happy for her and tries to keep her thinking positive about everything. She asks him about his job search and he tells her that what he really wants to do is to go back to Jabot as Co-CEO.
He thinks Jack should fire Billy before Billy does something that will really hurt the company. Mariah is taken aback by his ruthless ambition, and he tells her that he’s following Victor's advice which surprises her even more. He tells her that Victor told him he would be better off working at his family's business and that he belongs there. She wonders if he might be happy, starting his own business away from his family, but Kyle shuts down that idea. Before she leaves, she tells him that she hopes everything works out for him at Jabot. After she’s gone, Billy comes in and tells Kyle that he knows what he’s been up to and it’s time for them to clear the air.

At Marchetti, Summer tells Chloe she thinks they need to go back to the drawing board and start over again on the spring line, but Chloe disagrees. She thinks that Summer doesn't her designers to know what they’re doing and thinks that Summer needs to keep an open mind and give them a chance. Summer tells her they have a lot riding on this collection and Chloe tells her that she knows that.
They argue over the best approach to take and Chloe tells Summer that she thinks that she’s doubting herself and her designers because she’s nervous now that she’s the only one in charge with Kyle gone. Summer tells her that’s not what it is, but Chloe is skeptical. They argue more until Summer tells her they need to take a break and she has other things she needs to do. She says that they will meet again when Chelsea is back and leaves the office. A little while later, Chelsea comes in and Chloe is thrilled to see her. They hug and then Chloe tells Chelse that they have a problem but that it’s not either of them, it’s Summer. Chelsea thinks that they can all sit down and work it all out, but Chloe’s not so sure. She tells Chelsea that she has to convince Summer that they know more about what they’re doing than she does.
